Normally love this place. Lots of good antiques although there is also a ton of modern junk (more than there used to be). Found some great stuff. But as we were paying the manager of the place came over without a mask. They require masks of their customers. There are signs. It's why I've felt semi safe coming there. But there he is no mask. He starts ringing us out. I back up and stay back because even though they have plastic shields around the checkout there are good size gaps between each shield. He see me do this and still doesn't put on a mask. Then he walks away through the store...maskless. He also caused one if the vendors to lose a large sale. I was going to buy dishes; dinner plates, salad plates, cups and saucers, as well as some matching cookery. I chose my plates out of a large pile and picked some saucers to match since color varied slightly and only a handful of cups were available verses many saucers. He wouldn't sell it to me with those saucers because they weren't the one display under the cups. He also wouldn't call the vendor back to ask it she minded. I didn't want the saucers under the cups cause the color was slightly yellower than both the cups and other plates (the price was the same)...He told me I couldn't chose the saucers without the cups because they were "premium" compared to the one's with the cups. I guess buying almost a hundred dollars of the stuff wasn't enough to ensure the dishes I got were "premium." Because you know cup-less saucers are SO in demand. So I didn't...
Read moreMy fiancé and I are regular customers and we love this place. I don’t understand the negative reviews. The mall is enormous, clean, & well-lit, - unlike your typical dark, dusty “antiques house.” There is a large number of vendors, all selling different items, so there’s something for absolutely everyone. The prices vary per vendor, so yes, some items are more pricey than others. They do offer occasional sales, just as any reputable business does.
Also, what the vendors choose to sell is in accordance with their areas of expertise & personal preference. So no, it’s not limited to just antiques & old furniture. You can also find collectibles, nostalgia, handmade crafts, housewares, old records, coins, trains, toys, books, vintage clothing, signage, dolls, jewelry, sculptures & art, holiday decor, linens & lace, military items, and the list goes on. Typically there are a few vendors walking the loop. Chatting with customers, answering questions, assisting with heavy items, or unlocking cases, they are interested and invested, & I can assure you they are not “following” you in an attempt to catch you shoplifting. (It may be an antique mall, however management has modern technology to prevent that.😂) If you’re looking for a specific vintage item, or just a fun, interesting way to spend a few hours, take a ride and give it a shot. If you don’t like it you can check it off your list and move on. And if you do enjoy it, you may just become a regular like so many others who have grown to love this...
Read moreI live locally and love thrifting/antiquing. I was amazed at the amount of items and the size of this place. Lots of cool treasures to be found! However, my husband and I soon noticed one of the female employees blatantly following us around the store. At one point, she literally sat down across the aisle from where I was. She just sat there watching me. It made me feel totally uncomfortable and embarrassed, as if I was some sort of criminal. I only bought two small items but in hindsight, I should have put them back and left. They didn't deserve my business (even if it was only $13). I was originally planning on returning to spend an afternoon perusing everything at a more leisurely pace. But, after the way I was treated, (for no reason whatsoever) I certainly will not return. I can understand that a store that has many small and valuable items needs to be on the lookout for shoplifting but, there's a better way to address it. Simply don't allow customers to bring bags/purses in the store at all or have them check their bag/purse upon entry. Blatantly following customers around, sitting and watching them when they're there to give you business is just terrible customer service.
*4/5/24 It's interesting how with positive reviews, some get a response but with negative reviews, there's no attempt to offer an explanation or an attempt to set things right...it's nothing but silence....
