I have said it before, I will say it again; as a kid growing up in the sixties, I would have been seen hanging at the Mayfield Pond every day! My daughter and son in law were married there as the main part of the park is a grassy area with tables and benches where you can witness wildlife up close. A beautiful creek runs through the middle of the park cold enough to put a beverage in it to chill! Other amenities include a covered picnic area with several long tables that anyone can use with grills and tables surrounding it, outhouses and a swing set with climber for the Rugrats. A local party store is just a walk away for food, snacks and beverages for a very enjoyable picnic anytime.
