Cottonwood Barn Wedding Venue — Attraction in Paris

My brother and long time friend had their wedding here over Labor Day 2024 and while the facilities are beautiful and what they provided was adequate for a large bridal party, I have never experienced a more disfunctional day of coordination staff. As a prior wedding florist and day of coordinator myself the job of a coordinator is to make sure that during the rehearsal the bridal party knows the plan and how the day will unfold and then direct and keep everything moving the day of the wedding. I have a lot of grace for coordinators because they have a lot on their plates. But our coordinator barely executed or directed anything. The bridal party practiced once but she could not control the room so many of the party weren’t aware we were practicing. We didn’t practice walking out of the ceremony and day off there was mass confusion. She didn’t check that the sound system worked and someone from the family ended up keeping the day, ceremony and reception on track rather than her. Would recommend their facility hands down but their staff was lacking in ways that caused my brothers and sister in laws day to be very noticeably stressful on a day they shouldn’t have had to worry about. I was here attending the wedding of dear friends. Set in the midst of pastureland you would not expect to find this grand facility. Graveled pathways lead you through the trees to a tranquil pond with spectacular photo opportunities. Back at "The Barn" tool find a covered veranda with ample seating, large glass doorways and windows to catch all of nature while enjoying the indoors. A large room downstairs allows for seating approx 150 with room to dance, a wet bar area, separate kitchen area, restrooms and dressing room. Upstairs rooms are available for various functions and a staircase leading down into the grand room for more of those wonderful photo ops. The site also boasts a separate cabana for intimate gatherings along with generous parking. The absolutely perfect venue for weddings, reunions, and holiday parties. Hope I'm invited...

Do not recommend this place at all. It is on an old landfill and if it rains or the wind is blowing bad, the smell is awful. If it rains the roads flood and you can’t get down the road. We almost had to cancel a wedding because the road was so flooded. They have a horrible wasp problem upstairs in the bridal suites. They have huge turn over in employees and you never know who you’re dealing with. The breakers in the kitchen blow a fuse, and you can’t use all the outlets because they cannot handle all of the power. The amount of money that you pay this venue is not worth it.
