It's a beautiful trail that is about 3 miles long. The trail itself is a littlemuddy so make sure you wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty or boots. I walk down the trail a few days after it rained. They have a wooden boardwalk that is fun to walk on it and a little pond.

First of all, trail is right behind the parking lot! Natural surface trail. Very woodsy! Absolutely gorgeous and I am sure in the summer this trail is more beautiful. I loved that there was small signs with arrows and maps letting you know where you are on the trail.

Love Nature?? Forest preserve always are the best way to get away for a natural teraphy and find micro beauty if you pay attention what is around you. There is pic-nic table for a little break as well. Pd; In this forest Preserve dogs are NOT allowed. 😔

I did go when the leaves were covering the ground completely. This made the trails a little difficult to follow. Due to the difficulty, it took me longer than expected to make the round, and the sun started setting. This also added to the difficulty, and at one point I really wasn't sure where I was or where I needed to go. I had to use a compass to find my direction again. Only then did I find another arrow sign, eventually leading me back to a path. Again, the leaves were freshly fallen, and the trails were buried. Certainly a beautiful place, and the wooden bridge is well...

Alot bigger than it looks. An absoloutly beautiful place. Rustic and quiet. No sounds of humanity from ANYWHERE. No signs of man save the trails and bridges. Occasional bench. Found by accident and cherished forever. If u love to hike? But HATE crowds..clutter..and graffiti? This is a bit of green heaven in the...

Visit early in the day to enjoy the tiny birds and deer, mid-day if you want bugs and larger birds, and sign up for night walks if you want to see the owls. Gorgeous, quaint, and great trails! Sometimes riffraff park in the lot can disrupt the atmosphere, but it's to be expected in this day and age. Besides...
