Absolutely wonderful getaway just a couple hours from Memphis. The pristine forests with hiking trails of various lengths are well-maintained while allowing hikers to immerse themselves in nature. During my stay, I saw a mama deer and her twin fawns. I also rented a canoe and paddled around the Pin Oak Lake. Lots of fun! The lodge employees are super friendly and ready to help. The dark night sky away from light pollution is ideal for stargazers. My son and I saw the Milky Way and several constellations. The sandy beach on the shore of Cub Lake is lots of fun.

Stayed in cabin 15 and it was great! The cabin cleanliness could be a bit better but overall my family enjoyed our time. There is a black and white cat hanging out around the cabins. I'm guessing they manage any rodents. They are very sweet. I plan to come back in summer to enjoy the lake more. We did really enjoy the cub creek lake trail.

Beautiful park with fabulous trails for hiking, horseback riding & 4-wheeling. Exquisite lakes for fishing & boating; one lake with a veech (non-motorized lake).
