Chiawana Park — Attraction in Pasco

You no it is a perfect oasis n boat launch with view of the native homes up on canal n opposite of Kennewick n the course of gold cup our hdros we're back this year n. Is a hidden gyem in the out skirts of west Pasco n it is a good fram of the parcelse of mixed farm n residential with out the congestion n I like to take walk on the bike path board walk n it is very much plenty n dur to my knees just keeping mobile is hard without getting run over due to the pace it disables my speed of travel n at the park cross the river is very populated n it is very much more demanding pace to keep out of the healthier walkers n jogger \bikers n it has shade well kept n garbage drop offs ample n big parking for as your trailer n pickup it is pull through n has never been to capacity when I have been thier .that to me. This visit to Chiawana Park was just to use the boat launch. The launch is a two boat launch capable of handling small to middle size, say up to 22 or 24 or so foot, trailerable boats, although I wouldn't want to launch much larger boat here due to the somewhat limited maneuvering room in the lagoon. That said, the docks were acceptable and the lagoon is of adequate depth to get out to the river. There was a strong current across the entrance to the lagoon which required a bit of crabbing to cross into the lagoon. It is a nice Park that has a boat launch when you first enter, and when taking a quick right hand turn and follow down to the other part of the Park that has a playground that is awesome for the youngens with a spongy type of play area no bark or other type of stuff that the babes could get hurt from.
