My fiance grew up coming here with her grandmother during her early years, and we went back to visit to see how things were and although it looked close, apparently, you could just show up and walk around. We arrived early morning and we were welcomed warmly by some ladies working at the front reception. We walked around just myself and my fiance and we were delighted that it was a special time with just the two of us. We saw much taxidermy work and it was my first time ever seeing something of this magnitude up close and personal but I was open to it and I was glad that it actually didn't end up being a strange experience but a peaceful one. I also got to walk to a nature area near the lake and I got to sit there with my precious fiance just admiring nature peacefully. It was refreshing, pure, and serene. It is highly recommended to come here, even if its just for a brief moment, to experience the wonderful...

Enjoy the "outdoor equipment." The CEA teachers' organization chose to "honor" the 30+ years of service of local middle school science teacher Susan Shelton upon retirement. The family had suggested a bench with her name here, but apparently the preserve folks "don't do that." Instead, they were happy to accept random money with no recognition for the person or purpose of the donation except as "outdoor equipment." So enjoy the heck out of any random equipment you encounter, and I hope my mom feels more appreciated in retirement than she was in the overloaded classes she kept asking the school administrators to split. Absolutely shameful, and it'll be hard for me personally to walk the beautiful trail at the...

There are so many animals just happy to be there! Ahhhhh the bunnies are so adorable!! I saw like 4. Sadly I didnt bring my camera otherwise I would have better pictures. I took my phone so my photos didnt end up to good. I enjoyed going there and seeing all the animals. Next to every different area has something with information about the animals you will see in that overall area. If you are a photographer or even someone looking for something to do with their off time I would suggest going here and getting some pictures of the animals. Hope you...

This is a super lovely spot for wildlife viewing, bird watching, native plants, walking, or just being out in nature. I have seen cottontail rabbits here, turtles, toads, heard bullfrogs and oh so many different species of lovely birds as well. Early morning is in my experience the best time to go if you want to see living creatures. The main trail is paved and easy walking. You could absolutely take children here, it's stroller friendly if you need one. My six and four year olds have really enjoyed it and had no trouble.

McNary Refuge! Located in Burbank, Washington. McNary Refuge is a beautiful place to visit any time of year. The refuge is full of surprises. You will be amazed at the wildlife and the beautiful scenery. The refuge has a great walking trail where you can get your steps in, fresh air, a jog, hike with friends, and enjoy nature. The refuge has an education center, so bring your kids and stop in and learn a little about our wildlife. The refuge had plenty of parking and restrooms.
