The Pasco Aviation Museum is a must visit for any aviation enthusiast. It is located in the 1942 Navy control tower which subsequently served as Pasco's airport terminal from 1949 to 1966. It caters mostly to military aviation but has some displays pertaining to the year when West Coast Airlines (now part of Delta Airlines) served the city as well as an entire section dedicated to Pasco's role as the start civilian operated air mail service coinciding with the start of United Air Lines as its predecessor Varney Air Lines inaugurated mail service from the former Pasco Airport to Boise and Elko on April 6, 1926. The husband-and-wife team that essentially runs the museum is extremely knowledgeable about the 100-year history of aviation at Pasco and it was a most enjoyable hour and a half visit. Read moreThis place was amazing! Informative exhibits, and also some real life scenes that are just so fun to see. The best feature is having volunteers explain the exhibits. I visited with my parents, and two people at different times did such a phenomenal job of taking us into the details of various exhibits. I found out as we were leaving that the second attendant who spent a lot of time with us had just recently had back surgery - he never complained as he dedicated time to us and walked around. Read moreWe were looking for some fun activities for a 2 year old. This was a hit! They loved all the models hanging and displayed and enjoyed the little kids area with legos and planes movie. Fun being right next to helicopters and planes taking off. As adults we were really impressed and want to return when we have time to stop and read more. We all talked about how fun of a venue it would be to rent for events because of the seating, location and impressive movie theatre....
