What an amazing place in a nicely semi secluded location. The people at the museum were very welcoming and took us in quickly. The wait was virtually none. You start in the gift shop and move onto the interior portion of the museum where there is so much to see and read. The description on their website is typically a four hour visit with a potential for a second day...that's very correct. If you stop to read everything and fully immerse yourself, it will take a while to leave the first portion of the museum. Once out onto the outdoor section, the places are spectacular. Some with their engines intact, other with their engines gotten, either one lends itself to great views. You can get up close and personal with the planes, just don't touch. Wheel bays are open and you can stick your head up there and look at the components that makes everything tic, but watch your head! You can essentially walk the entire ground with some exceptions that are roped off. There are planes, engines, tanks, missiles, munitions, plane restorations in progress, classic car/race car section and general reading. It is a blast for those who love wartime history and wartime relics. The classic car collection is massive, that was a pleasant surprise. I understand the preservation of the planes, but I would have loved to be able to enter one of their larger planes and just take it all in. As an aerospace tech, this was a great time. I'd definitely love to visit again. Great experience for my father and I. Great job Estrella...

This is a nice museum to visit as a non-profit museum it's very good there's a lot to see here they have a lot of warbirds from world war II world war 1 Korea Vietnam other areas a lot to see great for the whole family we had a great time and it was fun. When we learned of this we said we had to go to it when we was out in California and we did finally we enjoy going to different museums especially aircraft museums and military museums and this was a definite one to go to that we had to see and we're glad we did The kids had a great time this is handicap accessible it's great for the entire family can't wait to be able to get some pictures up on the review so you can see some but they already seem like they have a lot and it's very easy to get to as well and it's a fun time plan to spend two and a half hours or so at least. We do highly recommend a...

I'm not a military expert, but enjoy visiting military museums. While vacationing in Avalia Beach, I was looking for places near, and came across the Estrella Warbird Museum. Drove up, and was surprised to find one of the best military and auto museums I've ever seen. They had such a wide variety of displays for all types of military equipment including planes, helicopters, tanks, jeeps, amphibious vehicles. In addition, all kinds of armaments from sidewinders, surface to air, guided weapons, torpedoes, mortar shells and more. Their Auto Museum was equally enjoyable, classic cars, race cars, service station equipment and so much more. I spent over 4 hours visiting, and will visit next time I'm in...

This museum is run solely by donations and volunteers (I believe). The museum is organized by WWI, WWII and so forth. Most of the items are focused on aircraft and military equipment used in the different wars. Very interesting if you’re into US history or Military. There aren’t any tours, pretty much self guided, so it may be helpful to bring a US History or Military buff with you as you’ll get a better experience that way. The aircrafts outside are a little rundown (my bfs words) but they’re still amazing. There is a volunteer that greets you at the beginning that is very eager to help and answer any questions. Also if you are veteran or active military you get a discount! :)
