Boynton Park — Attraction in Paxton

This is the best place to take dogs! Definitely consider it an "off leash dog park" because that's effectively what it is. You'll encounter lots of unleashed dogs on all the trails. My dogs love it, this is the exact type of place I've been looking for. Gets very muddy after the rain so watch the softball field.. my white dog comes out brown every time! But he couldn't be happier. EDIT: regarding the response from the owner. Good luck with that.. I found this place due to all the reviews specifically stating dogs are off leash. You can all read them. I no longer live here so I won't be breaking the rules anymore but I can promise dozens more are still...

Went for a walk with my dog on a weekend in the late afternoon. Be advised of reviews on here of people using it as an off leash area despite the number of signs all over the place requiring leashes. My dog is leash reactive and three off leash dogs came right up to my dog while we were trying to train. Owners had no control or recall. Thankfully nothing happened but if my dog was leash aggressive it could’ve been a different story. One dog ended up running from its owners and into the parking lot. Great trails. I would give it 5 stars. However none of the dogs there were on leash. The owners had zero control of their animals. I decided to leave and in the parking lot was a woman with at least 5 dogs off leash. I was knocked into the mud, lost a sneaker and my drink. The woman never came to get her dogs. Unfortunately they also had an infant dressed for a snow storm out in warm weather. Go figure my pit gets mauled by mutts and Golden Retrievers. Off to the vet I go. These people...
