One of the most beautiful temple exteriors I have ever seen! Beautiful stained glass that changes colors during the sunset. The stone used in the construction is slightly pink which gives it a rosy hew. The temple is very busy on Friday and Saturday with weddings and sometimes busy in the evenings with the missionaries who are bussed out from the MTC, but we can still usually walk in and help with little waiting. The main entrance is through the doors in the front of the temple and the entrance for baptisms is in the back (I.e. west side). Plenty of parking in the back or in the stake center parking lot next door. I love to enter the temple and sit in the waiting area between the changing rooms and the large stair case. It’s always so peaceful there as compared to the busyness of the waiting area. The temple workers have been so kind! There is no ASL session and the technology didn’t work to have the session in ASL on a portable device. :/ The workers were trying so hard to fix it but needed technical help.

Favorite temple in the whole wide world! I got married here April 2024! They were so quick to accommodate our last minute sealing. We had found out my mom had breast cancer and would be starting treatments soon, we rushed our wedding so she could be apart of it. I was able to schedule my sealing the week before and have room for all my friends and family along with my husbands friends and family in the sealing room. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. This is also the temple where I received my endowments and had one of the most spiritual experiences of my life. This temple is also absolutely stunning indoors and outdoors, at just the right time when the sun is setting, the light off the temple makes it appear pink. I will forever love this temple! Please visit! You won’t regret it!

Large and beautiful temple inside and out with meticulous, beautifully-landscaped grounds in a peaceful area. Anyone is welcome to come meditate, reflect, and feel close to the spirit of God and to the Lord, Jesus Christ and enjoy the beauty, solitude, peace, and tranquility of the grounds when it's open. Of course only members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with an active temple recommend may go inside but it's worth it! I volunteered to help clean one evening (when I took this picture) and it was fun to see parts of the temple you don't usually see (offices, break room, maintenance room with all kinds of tools). It took a small army to clean it from top to bottom in about an hour and a half.

It just isn't possible to adequately describe the degree to which the designers of this temple combined all the various elements to make what, to me, is a pure artistic and architectural masterpiece. It truly has to be seen to be appreciated. It is a serious contender for the most aesthetically beautiful temple in the world. Every detail is a visual, aesthetic and spiritual feast - from the beige exterior and classic architectural elements that give it the look of an older building and create an otherworldly glow at dusk, to the increasingly refined and ornate interior details on each level. Everything, both inside and out points to the purpose and meaning of the temple and complements the ordinances that will be performed there. Like those ordinances, it will require frequent attendance to fully enjoy because there is so much to see. Some of my favorites: The tan marble throughout, most striking at the recommend desk (Interestingly, the visual focus changes from the floor to the ceiling, depending on where you are in the temple - check out the roses on the ceiling in the sealing rooms - gorgeous.) The beautiful dark wood paneling on the first floor The staircase - (Picture a new bride walking down) The stained glass and vine/desert rose motif The true antique chairs in the bride's room The inlay work on the table in the Celestial room The needlepoint framed in the hall outside the bride's room - an amazing work of love - get close! The floral pattern on many furniture pieces and especially in the chapel - a beautiful change from tradition. The contrast of darker walls and the brilliant white baptismal font accentuates the symbolic purpose of the font

This is the temple I wish everyone could see. I can't think of a single thing I didn't absolutely love. Makes me wish I lived in the Payson...

Call the temple President and leave a suggestion that they allow you to hug newly weds in the sealing room so that if you need to leave right after the wedding you get a chance to congratulate new couples without waiting outside in the cold for 45 minutes while other groups who are ahead of you wait for their couple to come out. I wanted to hug the couple while the feelings were fresh before I had to go home to my sick baby but wasn’t able to. All we could do is smile at each other from across the room due to their covid-policy which the Temple President liked so much since it got people out of the temple faster so they could move on to the next wedding faster since they are one of the busiest temples and also kept noise down. It seemed to me that the biggest wait was the group in front of us. If they are in such a hurry maybe they shouldn’t schedule two weddings at the same time to come out of the same door. And shorten the talking maybe? I guess having more temples built will help, and all the remodeling...
