It just isn't possible to adequately describe the degree to which the designers of this temple combined all the various elements to make what, to me, is a pure artistic and architectural masterpiece. It truly has to be seen to be appreciated. It is a serious contender for the most aesthetically beautiful temple in the world. Every detail is a visual, aesthetic and spiritual feast - from the beige exterior and classic architectural elements that give it the look of an older building and create an otherworldly glow at dusk, to the increasingly refined and ornate interior details on each level. Everything, both inside and out points to the purpose and meaning of the temple and complements the ordinances that will be performed there. Like those ordinances, it will require frequent attendance to fully enjoy because there is so much to see. Some of my favorites: The tan marble throughout, most striking at the recommend desk (Interestingly, the visual focus changes from the floor to the ceiling, depending on where you are in the temple - check out the roses on the ceiling in the sealing rooms - gorgeous.) The beautiful dark wood paneling on the first floor The staircase - (Picture a new bride walking down) The stained glass and vine/desert rose motif The true antique chairs in the bride's room The inlay work on the table in the Celestial room The needlepoint framed in the hall outside the bride's room - an amazing work of love - get close! The floral pattern on many furniture pieces and especially in the chapel - a beautiful change from tradition. The contrast of darker walls and the brilliant white baptismal font accentuates the symbolic purpose of the font

Read moreCall the temple President and leave a suggestion that they allow you to hug newly weds in the sealing room so that if you need to leave right after the wedding you get a chance to congratulate new couples without waiting outside in the cold for 45 minutes while other groups who are ahead of you wait for their couple to come out. I wanted to hug the couple while the feelings were fresh before I had to go home to my sick baby but wasn’t able to. All we could do is smile at each other from across the room due to their covid-policy which the Temple President liked so much since it got people out of the temple faster so they could move on to the next wedding faster since they are one of the busiest temples and also kept noise down. It seemed to me that the biggest wait was the group in front of us. If they are in such a hurry maybe they shouldn’t schedule two weddings at the same time to come out of the same door. And shorten the talking maybe? I guess having more temples built will help, and all the remodeling...
