disorienting. I love a good nature trail, and this one has some pretty sights, but I tried to follow the trail on AllTrails and I don't even understand where this thing is trying to take me. I've been here twice and have yet to see the Chattahoochee. nothing is marked. why am I on a road rn? literally the most confusing park in Gwinnett County 🫠 but at least the bathrooms were clean.
UPDATE: if I hadn't literally seen someone disappear into thin air in a certain direction, I never would've found the Chattahoochee, but I finally found it. please, for the love of the river, put signs or blazes or SOMETHING because I almost gave up and turned around

Read moreLots of deer around. I've walked the trails here about 5 times. Many different paths to take from several different starting points. Nice variety of easy trails, sometimes very secluded and quiet. None of the trails are very strenuous at all. Nice, easy, enjoyable hike. Trails can take 30 mins to an hour or so depending on which paths you take. Some areas of the trails can become quite muddy after rain. You will need to go several times to learn where the different paths take you, but all of them eventually loop around back to the main entrance /parking area or the open field area. ...
Read moreThis park is okay if you don't mind confusing trails which aren't reliably marked, or maintained. If you're an experienced hiker, you'll be fine but bored since it's not technically challenging in any way. If you're not experienced, I'd go looking elsewhere.
The fields are fine, though this park is largely neglected and in shabby condition. I've been hearing for years about how Gwinnett county is going to actually work on this park, but it doesn't seem likely.
