An interesting park like setting with numerous old buildings to explore. Most were closed for the season but highly recommend the walk to the Lake Michigan shoreline. The lighthouse tower is wide open to visitors and the climb to the top does offer some nice views. But be aware, the stairs are circular, very narrow, no guard railing on the inside of the curve, and getting into the upper deck where the lens once sat means crawling through a tiny hatch.
