Cotton Market Venue — Attraction in Pearl

This place could really use a touch up and I’m not talking about just paint.. I was recently married there and there were many elements that could really use some tending to help truly justify the price for the venue.. The lights on some back drops that they had there could really use some updating as many of them were broken and twisted.. it’s wouldn’t cost a arm and a leg to do that at all.. The floors is there look as if they were mopped in awhile as there some sticky residue that I felt on the bottom of my shoes.. The trash wasn’t taking out at all and was completely full I shouldn’t have had one of my groomsman go take the trash out in a full piece suit… the ceremony area closer was full of various elements that completely stopped the door from being closed also.. I can’t forget to mention that door was also completely broken at the bottom and was extremely obvious… The glass doors that surround the reception area was were full of hand marks and dirt and we had to go purchase a bottle of windex and clean them up again something I felt should be a simple up keep type of thing and not something we should be doing when you are paying 1,800 dollars to rent the location.. the kitchen was a complete mess and it is in need of serious repairs and up keep.. I highly recommend that the owners tend to that.. I feel as if this place is slowly losing its beautiful it once had when I would attend other’s weddings there. It needs to have some serious love put back into this place.. I don’t want this review to come as attack, but as a honest review that really needs to be said in order for future people to be aware before spending that type of money.. My daughter just got married at this venue Saturday 12/3. The venue is absolutely beautiful! Very spacious and pretty much already decorated for you! The only issues we had was there is NO WiFi and a DJ requires WiFi so we had to turn on our hotspot for him. There was also NO soap in either bathrooms. There is NO ice machine so you have to rely on bagged ice. The bridal suite is extremely small and you cannot have more than 2-3 people in there at a time and my daughter had 7 bridesmaids. Would never recommend this place to anyone!! Had an appointment for Wednesday but there was a communication error, no big deal. We rescheduled for today.
