North Shelby Library — Attraction in Pelham

07/25/2025 the reviews were right the staff and customers are loud they talk so loud you can hear them upstairs super loud for hours wont shut up super annoying and patrons sat next to me in a supposed to be quite area she started talking on her phone right next to me distributing me the kids are super loud as well horrible I had to move and still was distributed by staff loud voices they dont care

Great local branch of the Shelby County library system! Beautiful 2-story facility with some great work and reading areas. Multiple areas outside to relax and eat. Staff is very friendly, and they have good-sized children's and teens' rooms. Selection of books is pretty good; they're linked into a regional Interlibrary Loan system if you can't find what you're looking for. When using it, I've never waited more than three days to have a request...

This library is awesome. The people are so friendly and helpful. I especially enjoy the apps for my iPhone. E books and audiobooks our enjoyable reads.
