Red Rock Dam — Attraction in Pella

Red Rock Dam has something for everyone. The visitor center offers an educational experience and gift shop (plus airconditioning). The miles of walking/hiking/cycling trails are beautiful. Quiet not elbow to elbow as some tailwaters can be. Some trash left around from a few jerks. Some handicap accessible areas. Didn't catch my target species but did catch a decent gar cleaned it at the on site cleaning cleaning station along with some bluegill and fried it right there on the shore for a nice dinner. Interesting place. We visited only for an hour or so while in Pella. This is a neat place with interesting views of the dam. There were many people along the shoreline and in boats fishing. I talked to some of the fishermen and they said you can catch "everything" here. There are permanent fish cleaning stations right off the shore so they must be telling the truth.
