I was pleasantly impressed with this museum. When we first arrived, we thought it wouldn't be that big, but there was a lot of exhibits and displays. My daughter loved the interactive features. We were there at the same time as a school trip, but they were respectful and we were able to enjoy our time. The guy even let my daughter join in on one of the activities even though she wasn't with the school group.
The lady at the desk was amazing. We chatted and she gave me pamphlets, ideas and tons of information. The gift shop has many options for all types of people and likes. We will definitely be returning.

Wonderful Museum free of charge. Friendly staff. saw an oxcart, steam boat history, fur trade, and a new exhibit focusing on North Dakota artisans and some story telling. Ots of wonderful books and gifts in the fidt shop too. Can't wait to go back, I need to go up the tower next time, we started talking high bush cranberries and I got distracted! Go in the elevator to the observation tower.In the summertime the wind steadily blows making the surface of the crops below swirl as if you are seeing waves on the ocean.The Canadian border is straight ahead while miles of beautiful countryside are all around you.The museum houses many indigenous artifacts from the area and explains the history of the town.
