New review update, so the gravel for the castle took care of the mud.

Next thing on my mind, aside from trees/logs giving cover there is very little. The terrain is very flat without any type of microterrain defilades or contruction dirt foundation berms.

Terrain is very open and causes stalemates, only cover is trees and logs.

Hot shooters can reach us but we can't reach them.

A new map of defilades, micro terrain dips or 1 foot depth foxholes and the dirt berms from digging would be nice, it will taper off eventually and lose depth from weather and use.

Set at distances from each other good for 280 FPS because we can't reach hot shooters in scenarios.

But also if possibe across the whole map mini foxholes of 1 foot in depth defilade dip with a digging auger drilled 3-4 foot drainhole PVC pipe with side drain holes drilled along its length all sides. Pipe filled with gravel for drainage.

Big boulders put out of hole off to side, make interior just soft packed dirt, fallen leaf and dropped paintballs, you can hammer a metal pole or digging bar into the ground for quick further drainage.

Wood contruction marker stakes in the holes dirt pile marked with color strip so it can be easily seen with fogged mask. Plastic orange sports cone secured onto it maybe with neon spray paint

Same as any other knee busting root or rock, same as slipping or tripping off a wet log hazard, but a softer landing..

If not possible due to whatever safety reason, bringing in construction foundation dirt dump truck for the berms would suffice.

Need to allow cover to cover movement among the trees. Need it to look more warzone like.

1 man per piece of cover, move cover to cover, then the 280 FPS in reach of each other on positioning. Only bad thing is moving closer to hot shooters.

It would make less of a stalemate for scenarios. Make little dirt pile cluster forts in some areas then sporadic placing in other areas as mutally supporting positions.

Where you use angles for cover.

That would bring more players, while its fun it does get stalemated out for a while reaching each other from distance.

So instead of potential players hearing about these stalemates in the rain or old players getting bored of scenario line reaching stalemates.

Spice up the terrain with berms, micro terrain defilades and foxholes. This could bring more people.

Make it look more warzone like as if it were shell craters and berms from digging.

Could replant vegetation you get root ball up away from maps then bring them on, up against any boulders or stacked fortifications where its protected from getting stepped on.

-Shovels/Earth moving equipment -PVC pipe w/ drilled drain side holes -Gravel PVC pipe fill

My last review.

"Castles need gravel on the muddy ground inside and the perimeter around it directly below the outer wall. It will stabilize the ground for structures and players. Germans at Stalingrad 2023 didn't want to leave their muddy fort and I don't blame them. Going to need 3-4 inch layer of gravel."-that was done,...

If you want an example of how you will be treated please review the response from the owner. Instead of apologizing for the rude staff members, they are doubling down, and justifying the behavior. If I as a customer said I only wanted to play for 20 minutes. There is no need to be rude about it and demand that I come back. If I told you that people drove for 2 hours to get there, and could not regroup and come back the next day. Why keep harping on the issue? I didn't feel rushed I felt disrespected and antagonized because the staff members were shouting at me. I understand the CDC guidelines, but barking orders at paying customers because they won't leave does not have anything to do with safety. I also read a few more negative reviews about customers feeling disrespected and they too were people of color. Coincidence? I think not. Don't worry the rest of my party will be leaving reviews as well.

Terrible customer service. We made a reservation as one of the stops for a bachelor party. We arrived at 5:00 knowing that they closed at 6:00. Willing to play for the time we had. When we got there we were greeted by a surly staff member who told us that they were closing soon so it was no point in even bothering to go on the field. He was starting to tell us to come back, when I told him that we would just play for the time we had. He snapped No let me finish, and proceeded to tell me that I should come back at 9:00 in the morning. I told him that we had a large party from all over and that we wanted to play. He said fine you are in charge of gathering all the forms and getting everything together. after we got the forms together, he returned to reiterate that we really should just go home after spending $300and without a refund. At this point I asked him to stop telling me that, as it was not helpful. I asked him to help us rather than do heckle us and ask us to leave. He responded get your mask on. When we arrived to the paintball field, my gun fell apart and spilled my paintballs all over the ground. There was no one there to assist me. Our referee was a nasty little child, with an Napoleon complex. He kept reiterating that there was not a lot of time. Which we were well aware of. While we were playing we called a timeout to gather more paintballs and regroup. He became very upset asked us to please return to playing, as we did not have that much time left. The time seemed to be so much of an issue for the staff, that it almost ruined our trip. No one in our group was concerned about how much time we had, and we hadn't planned on playing for that long anyway. The child told me several times to return to the field as if he was in charge of me. When I reminded him that we had spent close to $300 to be there and to treat us with some customer service he became very quiet and sulked for the...

Came here for my own bachelor party on 2/16/19 with a group of 9 other guys. We all really enjoy playing paintball and were excited to finally get together and play at Skirmish as we have heard such great reviews. Let me first start by saying that, we were really impressed with the size and organization of the facility. We also had an awesome referee that genuinely cared about making sure we had the best day possible. Unfortunately, things went south very quickly when we realized that after only being there for less than 3 hours we had over 300 dollars total stolen from 3 different members of our group. We had brought a book bag that had paintball equipment in it and multiple members of our group put their wallets in the bag too. We carried the book bag with us all day as we traveled around to multiple different fields and only set it down in the dead zones of each field but soon realized that someone had went into our bag and into our wallets and stolen all of the cash in each wallet. We immediately notified our referee who contacted a manager, Brandon, who came and talked to us briefly. He told us that there wasn't much he could do but he was going to talk with the other manager and get back to us. We then waited in the pavilion area for over 20 minutes and Brandon never reappeared. So after getting tired of waiting, I went into the ProShop to find him selling paintballs to other people and asked him if he talked to the other manager and he simply replied with "Theres nothing I can do". I asked him if there were any cameras that we could review but he said there was only one in the pavilion area. I then told him that this was obviously incredibly disheartening and that we were no longer interested in continuing to play today seeing as though we had just been robbed. I told him that I understood that it was not Skirmishs fault that a theft occurred but asked if we could receive a refund for admission being that our day was now over after less than 3 hours of playing and seeing as though we spent over $300 on paintballs alone. He laughed and said "No i cant do that". As I told him that day, this has forever left a bad taste in our mouth and although it was not his fault that money was stolen, I had really hoped to have been treated better by such a well established business. Had this been my business, I would have absolutely refunded all 10 of the players and repeatedly apologized for what had happened. I would not want what some ASSHOLE thief had done to define what Skirmish Paintball is or condones. Needless to say, we left extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Also worth mentioning is the 24 hour video surveillance sign we saw on our way out. That was a real kick...
