Succop Nature Park — Attraction in Penn Township

The 5-star rating is not given lightly, and I cannot give a higher recommendation for a venue. Not only is it a beautiful location, the value is unbelievable. Davlin, the coordinator, is helpful and very responsive--responds best to e-mail. She works with you to make sure you get what you want and have everything you need. They do have an exclusivity contract with Medure's catering (pay per person--linens, napkins, barware, dinnerware all included), but I wouldn't want it any other way. Between the two, you get your food, linens, tables, chairs, bartenders (who will cut any fruit your provide and mix any drink you want), parking attendants, guest book greeters, servers, skewers for the s'mores (yes, there is a fire that they will keep going for you. And if you bring s'mores fixings, your guests will have s'mores all night). They cut the cake, unbox your cookies for the cookie table, bring the cake and cookies to the reception site and then box everything up at the end of the night! Medure's even boxed up and gave us the extra food (which was fantastic by the way--our guests raved about it)! It is important to note that the only beverages they provide are hot tea and coffee (iced tea and lemonade will be provided at an extra cost). So you have to provide all the liquor, beer, side and water. And everything (decorations and food) must be taken down and removed from the site at the end of the night. But the staff is so wonderful that they help you! The reception site has tent flaps in case of rain and can be used as the ceremony site if the rain doesn't let up. They seriously think of everything so you have the most stress-free day. I SO HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

Not quite as big as Preston Park or maybe it is I haven't explored the whole park yet. But from what I have seen in my visits here it is quite the beautiful place. Well any place that is not around people is mostly a beautiful place. I will be back many times when it gets a bit warmer out. Updated Review: I have been back several times since and now that it is warmer I have been able to explore much more of the area. Just got into looking for mushrooms and certain plants lately and have been exploring several other areas too and having many great finds. I have found tons of new things around here in the nature that I have never seen or heard of before. A lot of new things to go with my finds and things I can do more research on. So upon coming back many times I have found that this place doesn't need to be as big as Preston park it is still a very beautiful place with a lot of interesting things in it's environment. Would highly recommend anyone to come to places like this and educate themselves with what is in the nature and it's purposes. I will be back many more times as the seasons change and new things grow in with the times of the year. Just wish I would've found this place...

So I contacted this venue In may told them my wedding date book a tour in July absolutly love the place so I booked my date wanted to put the money down that day and was told to wait until the 2018 rates came out so I did was I was told and waited a month and a half for the rates to come out when I finally got the email I immediately emailed them back so I can put my deposit down once again I wait almost two week for their response to just tell me they booked another bride on the same day I already book she then told me I have to wait for her to contact this other couple and they have 48 hours to decide if they want it or not so I email her back saying there has to some type of mistake bc I wrote my name in the book and there was no one else there I seen it my self her response was they emailed her on June 21 and now I had to wAit for them to view the venue which I had already did so I was put aside and the other bride booked on the same date that I had already booked so they wasted three months of time and now Im out. Wedding venue I was appalled at the way this situation was handled it was completely unprofessional from the lack of communication to the ignorance...
