Eden Gardens Banquet — Attraction in Pennsauken Township

I had my wedding here in 2024. I do not recommend this place at all! There was a lot of things wrong with it. First of all, the place was very dirty. The venue was supposed to have cleaned before our wedding, and the place was never cleaned. The night that we were there to set up before our wedding day we found dirty carpets and in our “bridal suite“ which was really just a computer room that we were gonna make shift into a suite was super dirty. There was food all over the floor and just was not prepped at all. They said they were gonna clean before we came the day of our wedding and it was still not clean and we wind up having to just do it ourselves, however they tried to make it up by giving us another suite that was for the bridal party just for the ladies for free, but they said we would have to pay them extra for it. They told us that we would have to tip them for doing that for us, which I don’t think was fair. During the day of the wedding when we were getting dressed in our suite, a guy comes in while we were getting dressed and started vacuuming when it was way already too late for that and we were already getting dressed. My bridal party was telling him to leave because we were getting dressed, however we don’t think he knew English because he just looked up at us and continued to vacuum and finally after we tell him again and pointed to the door, he seemed to get it and then left. Then minutes before we started our wedding there was someone mopping right by our doors where we were going to walk through that led to our hall to start the wedding. A few people that were apart of my bridal party almost fell on the floor because of this. Supposedly during our reception part of our wedding, one of the waitresses spilled a drink on one of our guests and didn’t apologize. When it was time for us to serve the cake, the waitresses were cutting the cake which was fine, but I realized that one of the ladies was chopping the cake really large and I was afraid we were gonna run out. I kept telling her to cut the cake in smaller pieces however she ignored me and kept cutting it in big pieces. So I just gave up and walked away. I don’t think this woman understood English either. After we came back from our honeymoon, we went back to the venue to complain about all the issues that we’ve had with them and we were hoping to get a reimbursement in some way for all the ways they did us wrong. I usually don’t post reviews but I wanted to post this review to make our Muslim community aware in the area and the attached parts. So we had setup an event for a graduation ceremony of my sister and my wife combined as one event and it all started fine with the event setup in advance with the management and banquet arrangements. Upon consulting with the management regarding the catering for the first time , they wouldn’t allow any outside catering and/or food or beverage. Ok that’s fine we understood and had the banquet hall do their own catering. Fast forward to the day of the event. The whole setup was a mess. It seemed like everything was going opposite to what was discussed on how the event setup is going to go regarding catering. They said they will serve complimentary soup as appetizers so they did but only on women’s side and that too after dinner was served. Then the beverage were not served proportionally on the men’s side . Then they served food way to early than it was discussed with them and we had to have our guests start eating otherwise it would get cold. The Food tasted absolutely horrible and tasteless . It seemed like it was old and stale! Then they forgot to serve coffee until it was reminded. On top of all this the servers and the head server had the most bizarre attitude towards us when we complained on how poor the service is going on. Then the next day there was a wedding event going on over there and the management allowed outside outside catering to them and to some other events too. And upon consulting with them about this they said yeah you can do outside catering now. I wish I could give ZERO stars and have my money back and to other Muslim community BEWARE of this place seems like all they’re doing is taking advantage since they’re the only ones in the SJ area where we can have a banquet setup like this and all they care...

My sister had a wedding here a little over a week ago and service was horrible. The venue was not vacuum cleaned, as well as the “bridal suite”, which was just a computer room. It was dirty with crumbs and food on the floor. The place had also not been mopped either and they began doing this a couple hours before the wedding. Some people almost fell. We ended up doing the vacuum cleaning. A maintenance worker walked in on the girls getting dressed who asked him to leave. However he did not speak English and did not understanding and continued cleaning their room while they were in there. The catering service they used did not make enough food for all the guests and also spilled water on a guest. When we brought these complaints along with others to them, they just made excuses for why these things were not taken care of. Highly do not recommend for the price...
