Winterthur Enchanted Woods — Attraction in Pennsbury Township

I was going to give Winterthur a 2 star but it was so gorgeous and unique I had to give it 3. The property itself; the gardens and enchanted woods were incredible and hard to compare to anything. The stop was definitely memorable. The reason I gave it such a low rating was because the overall experience was a lot less enjoyable because the staff was extremely, extremely rude and every single person who was visiting was very, very rude as well. My family and I travel in an RV throughout the United States. We have never been treated like such poverty. Everyone who looked at us or interacted with us acted like we were peasants in the 1700s. We have two small children who were well behaved and really enjoyed the gardens and woods too. I think the man who sped up in his little BMW with grey hair and demanded to know what our business was, was especially unwelcoming and unfriendly. I think he is a want to be police officer and I AM AN Actual police officer, so for him to act like we were trespassing filth was not a good feeling. There was a women at the front desk who advised we NEEDED tickets to be on the property, although I called ahead and was advised we DIDN'T need tickets if we were just walking through the gardens and enchanted woods. They were wrong and we were told several times we weren't supposed to be on the priemisis! It was overly aggressive. But thankfully she allowed us to walk the grounds. There was ONE worker on the trail in a Corolla S who was THE ONLY kind interaction we had. He politely explained the map to us and was helpful. Thanks to him we felt a little more human. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our walk and visit at the enchanted woods and gardens but if you want to be treated with respect you better looked like a stuck up rich family and we aren't even low income! The associates at the visitors area were very cordial and accommodating. The shuttle and tram operators were very knowledgeable and pleasant.
