Deemers Beach — Attraction in Pennsville Township

The trail is clean, nice, and newly paved. The trail is nice and wide, with plenty of room for walkers, joggers, and bicyclists.

I pulled in to enjoy a walk and the view from shore. There was far too much garbage along the whole beach. Nobody has seemed to do maitnance. I picked up one whole box of trash myself and tossed it in the barrell they have near the parking lot.

Remember, "pack it in, pack it out." The parking lot was completely trashed.

It is technically a beach. But I'm not sure you'd want to stay for very long. It's rough sand. A LOT of garbage strewn about. And very difficult to access the actual sand area, except by climbing down a bunch of large rocks and driftwood. My son and husband ventured down, but I couldn't make it safely, due to mobility issues. Seems to be mostly people fishing; this is not a beach you would lay out on. If you are a beach person, there are better choices. If you want to go for a walk or like photography, choose your time well and you can come away with some great shots.
