Pensacola Aviation Discovery Park — Attraction in Pensacola

Ok this is close to my heart. As someone who loves aviation and a aspiring pilot. This is a very special place for our future aviators. It's basically a kids park with a small runway and a tower for the kids to play on. There are benches and a picnic area for the family and the kicker. You have full view of the active runway which is KPNS or Pensacola airport. It's a great spot for lunch of you love watching airplanes takeoff and land. A great resource to the Pensacola community for plane spotting/viewing! Not many airports and cities have official areas for plane spotting anymore, so this is quite a rare and cool resource for Pensacola. There is a lookout tower, however even if the tower is full with other guests, you can walk right up to the fence line to get an unobstructed view. Park has picnic tables, benches, and shaded areas. If you are an aviation lover/Plane watcher, this place is for you! Not only is the area to watch mere feet from the runway, but there is also about a 20 foot tall lookout tower that gives you an even better view of incoming and outgoing planes! I believe there is 2 spots to watch planes there, but we were at the playground area. There is covered seating (not rain protected) a small playground for kids, and a small road leading into the playground for if you would like to skate/scoot/or bike.
