I don't know why they call it the upper Peoria Lake, it's just the Illinois River with a fancy name. It's just as dirty as the rest of the Illinois River, maybe just as dirty has rest of Illinois. View along the Riverfront at Upper Peoria Lake is breathtaking. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall the lake is alive. The drive is short but worth the detour off Rt 29. Homes along this section are amazing. Why some would want a $300,000 castle prone to flooding is beyond me. BUT YEY... To...
