Buttersville Park — Attraction in Pere Marquette Charter Township

It is OK except for the fact that people think that they are entitled to have their dogs off the leash. There is that law for a reason. My dog has been attacked more than once at that beach since we live right next to it. We had a golden retriever completely latch onto her because the owner didn’t wanna put it on a leash. I personally love it but I would recommend if you see an off leash dog just turn back around and go somewhere else because chances are that person has no control of their dog. And another time a Dutch shepherd attacked my dog grabbing onto her face because my dog was playing with her ball. The guy had no control over his dog and my poor German Shepherd was left petrified the rest...

I dropped to 3 stars, As, the Access from sand to water, is horrible. The county took out a large sand dune "to preserve" the beach. Now, it's a rough 18"-2' drop from the beach to the water... there's Almost no beach left. It's very disappointing. However, the small sand area that exists, is beautiful. I shot video, no photo's on this trip. I will take photo's in a few days, and add them.. I'm not Certain Why. I have 2 Google Review accounts. My Other Account, doesn't show up anymore.... has over...

The view is incredible. We are going to go to Stearns beach but it was packed. Found this hidden gem and couldn't have been happier. There's a camp ground down the road as well. Barely anyone there for the size of the huge beach. Pure Lake Michigan. Pet friendly and it does have portable Patty's. You'll see the light house and many sailboats and big yachts that are beautiful to look at. It's a must see beach...
