We had a very nice visit on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend (2022). It was busy so we waited and sat at the scattered tables (there were ten of us). The Liza came out and took care of us for the next hour - what a pleasant (and knowledgeable) person! She made our visit very worthwhile and we all bought a couple of bottles each. We did the five tastings for $5. They also have little compact “charcuterie” snacks that were actually very good. The only suggestion for the winery would be to dress up the outside and porch area with some flower planters or hanging baskets! It’s a very pretty property. We’ll be back with future guests!

Such a fun day. Coming from CA, I’ll admit I didn’t have high expectations for MI wines. Boy was I wrong. I liked nearly everything on the tasting room menu. The Badger White was my favorite white. And, I loved several of the reds. Try the rosé!! I brought several bottles home to enjoy for the rest of my vacation. The grounds were beautiful with vineyard and Lake Michigan views. The owners and winemaker were delightful, friendly people. If you’re in the area, check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

My wife and decided to pop in to see this place and were delighted meet Wes and his wife. Their wines are amazing. We walked out with two cases of wine and could not pick our favorites. This is a great winery with a view of Lake Michigan. Both the White and Red Badgers are near the top and definitely worth a taste.

We had a phenomenal experience at Pere Marquette. Driving up to the tasting room you get a feel for the beauty and passion surrounding the wines you’re about to taste. Upon walking into the tasting room, you’re greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff! We cannot say enough good things about Liza; she was kind, well informed, and made our tasting experience truly special. Getting to meet the owners, Wes and Elsie, made the entire afternoon a one of a kind encounter. And now to the best part, THE WINES!! The wine made at Pere Marquette is like none other I’ve ever had. I’m a Pinot noir drinker, and they produced one of the best Pinot noirs I’ve ever had. Their wines were fruit forward without being heavy or sweet. All of the wines that you will have at Pere Marquette are made on site with their own grapes. A truly unique experience. We left with a case of wine and already wish we had bought more. We come to Ludington every year for a mini getaway and will, without a doubt, be making Pere Marquette an...

My husband and I were traveling up toward Ludington and tasting wine along the way. I found Pere Marquette while searching for wineries. If you enjoy dry reds than look no further. We tried all 5 reds minus the rose and each one was beautifully developed, had medium to full body and a smooth finish. Michigan is typically known for producing delicious white wines but Pere Marquette produced some of the most notable reds I’ve ever tried in Michigan. Not to mention the owners were lovely people who grow their own grapes and produce all the wine on site. They also age their wines properly which contributes to the complexity and body you get. This is a must stop and now one of our...

Horse barn turned into a winery (clever/creative!!), just south of Ludington and Pere Marquette Lake. They are dog-friendly (if your dog is also friendly of course :)

Not your usual home-grown grapes neither; they have the driest reds (and white blends) I have come across in Michigan and I have been to ALOT of wineries all over the state. My palate was pleasantly surprised and I did not hesitate to buy a case of wine from them. I think they said they are new to this business and have alot of good things planned - up and coming - I am looking forward to going back! Their hospitality was very welcoming, very neighborly, and they were wine-knowledgeable!...
