We took my 9 year old and 10 year old niece for the indoor skydiving. The front desk staff were very friendly and informative. The instructor was wonderful with the kiddos. He explained things clearly and thoroughly. My son has autism and they were responsive and respectful of his needs.
Instructor gave instruction a few ways: -using a super hero doll for visual -verbally explained what it might feel like, how he’d be helping and guiding in the tunnel, how to move your body and how not to and why, taught the hand signals for chin up, straighten legs, bend legs and relax and stay still. -in person by demonstrating himself in tunnel before they went in.
He was fun, friendly, used humor and was accommodating to the color and type of jump suits and helmets. It really seems he enjoys his job.
One thing to improve on would be to include a signal for done or stop. It turned out my son wanted to end his jump but didn’t know how to communicate it while in the tunnel so ended up being scared and not wanting to do his second jump. However, instructor was kind, checked in with us about it and offered for my niece to take his second jump.
One piece of advice if you go is to bring cash to tip instructor. We were happy to show him we appreciated him with a tip.
My niece wants to go back and so do some of her siblings. I might give it a try, too. Each kiddo got a very nice certificate when they were done with discounted return jump offers. There are also a few souvenirs to purchase.
Overall we’re very happy with the experience and plan to...
Read moreBiggest mistake coming here, do not be fooled by the advertisements. My child was treated worse than the dogs they have running around while you wait. The air head instructor is not kid friendly, no patience and rude. The whole thing is very rushed, my child is a size 14/16 the suit he was given had to be 10/12 we let the instructor know it didnt fit he then seems aggitated and gives us a ridiculously large suit it had to be a men’s 2X. The helmet was also too tight but didn’t realize that until we had to pull it off. How do you expect a child to feel comfortable when you can’t even provide decent equipment. A thin child went first he floated easily and instructor was hands on with him. My child is on the husky side they could not get the air right so he basically rolled around on the floor until the instructor pulled him out and said he’s done. He then does a second round with the other kid so I’m hoping our second round goes better… nope! He didnt even give him a second chance just comes out and shouts over and over he’s done he’s done. So since we got nothing out of it you would think we would get a refund…nope! No apology either just a choice to reschedule or half refund. Obviously you don’t care but you ruined a kids birthday. You guys have these huge tip jars in every room…here’s a tip do your job and try to give a kid a...
Read moreThis place was amazing. So much fun!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely young lady working in the front. She got us checked in and spoke to us while we waited for our time slot. I was nervous but she put us at ease. Then our instructor Kurt brought us up to the tower. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us the basic information we needed and got us suited up. He really made us comfortable and emphasized having fun while being safe. The actual indoor skydiving was really fun. It's a pretty cool to feel like you're flying! It might seem like the flight time is short but to me it was perfect. A couple of us did the 2 flight package and then one with a 3 flight package. A couple of us also did the "high fly" which was FANTASTIC. I mean, I didn't do it but watching people do it was fun and the two that did it had a LOT of fun doing it and said it was well worth it. Kurt was great and really made sure we had a wonderful experience. Everyone there was friendly. Thank you Perris Indoor Skydiving! We'll be back with more...
