Deer Creek Dam — Attraction in Perry Township

Beautiful place, beds are ok, my last 3 dining experiences weren't so great, every time takes a long time after seated b4 server gets drinks, then longer time to get food, and long time for refills. The girls enjoyed the pool and game room very much. In room bathroom could have been cleaner. But really a beautiful place. If u call in to ask pricing go ahead and book it even if the person on the phone acts as though you're bothering them. We got there at 3:30pm and the room was $20 higher than what I was told on the phone. We stayed for A's which is a wonderful way to encourage your child to work harder. Great place to fish and play if you are camping in Deer Creek state park. The playground is clean and really nice and the grounds were well maintained. There were also picnic amenities such as picnic tables and grills. I didn't use the restroom but its nice to know it's an option when fishing! Ohio has the best state parks. We've camped, fished, and hiked this park for 20 years and never been disappointed. Highly recommend the spillway for catfish and early spring saugeye fishing. Just a fair warning, make darn sure you have a fishing license and obey the rules, the rangers do check regularly. The facilities are kept quite clean and in good order most of the time.
