Deer Creek State Park Beach — Attraction in Perry Township

Free! Visited on a Tuesday afternoon mid-August as part of my stay at the Lodge across the lake. Got the impression the park was short-staffed, probably college student workers had left already. Lots of parking, but dumpsters were overflowing. Appreciated the tables with large umbrellas as well as some picnic tables in the shade. I’m not sure where these good reviews are coming from because I experienced the opposite. This was the most disgusting beach I’ve ever been to. Floating trash, garbage all over the beach. The bathrooms I couldn’t even use, there was trash overflowing and on the floor in every single use bathroom. The beach is dirt and gravel, I wouldn’t consider it sand. So many dogs running around...
