I came upon this place accidentally, and it turned out to be a great place to enjoy some ice cream during a rainstorm. The Perrysburg sculpture walk on site also makes this a great park for art lovers! However, it was mentioned that the art will be traded out sometime in August to make room for new pieces. There's also a nice playground for the children, several parking sections spread throughout, nice large areas for ball, frisbee, picnics and the like! There's a Japanese garden on one side of the park and there is what the city calls the Johnny Appleseed tree grove which was planted about 20 years ago. The walking path is made of crushed stone as opposed to concrete or asphalt, and I find that much easier on my knees to walk. Read moreWe've gone twice and spent the entire time in the playground. The shaded areas are fantastic, loads of relief on a sunny day. The inclusive playground makes a great area for toddlers and newly walking kiddos just as much as the toddler playground area. There is plenty of swings even for the busiest days. The covered picnic tables inside the playground are very nice but also space the playgrounds apart and add eyesight obstacles. Take special note of the Flag retirement depository, little library, and the octaball court near the main entrance, as well as the Eagle Scout recognition display. Each of these is a contribution to the park and city by local Eagle Scouts.
