We've come here two years in a row now and they have the best pumpkin selection around. While the farm is obviously there year round, the agritourism activities appears to be a seasonal pop-up business operated out of tents and sheds set up around a couple of houses. There isn't much in the way of permanent infrastructure outside of their private residences so you'll certainly want to check the weather before you go. The only bathrooms are portapotties. The admission price includes all of the kids' games and activities, the corn maze, and a hay ride to the pumpkin patch in the back. There is also a large selection of pre-picked pumpkins. There are hundreds of colors/varieties of pumpkins beyond the standard field pumpkin for carving. The u-pick pumpkins were priced per pound and very reasonable. The owners/staff were very friendly and helpful in answering questions, helping carry pumpkins back to the trailer, etc. After picking our pumpkins in the field, they helped trim the stem, remove all of the prickly bits left on the stem, and wipe the dirt off of my pumpkin. Very knowledgable about different pumpkin varieties and great customer service! The back patch felt like I was in "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" I really enjoyed getting to experience wading through the vines to select and harvest my very own pumpkin rather than buying from pre-picked pumpkins that have been laid out on a field like many of the other "patches" you'll find in the area. Overall, we had a good time and are happy with our pumpkins. Especially if you've brought kids, I could easily see spending a few hours here. I do wish there were more staged photo opportunities and seasonal decor, but all in all this is a great patch to visit...
Read moreFirst timer at Perryville Pumpkin Patch. . We drove 45 minutes on a Friday evening and it wasn't busy when we arrived, shortly before closing time/dark. . My boys loved feeding the goats and chickens, playing on the hay bales & slides and crawling through a mini maze. They picked pumpkins from the assortment they had set out since we were on limited time. There were a ton of other things we didn't even get to do because it was getting dark. . The prices were VERY reasonable ($3.50-5) for the use of ALL the fun activities they offer. The prices on pumpkins are so reasonable too! They have homemade jams & local grass-fed beef jerky you can purchase. . We could have driven similar distance to an Eckerts, but will continue visiting Perryville Pumpkin patch for future! We love supporting small business and especially...
