Dougherty Orchards & Winery — Attraction in Pershing

Yesterday I decided to take a family trip and drove 20 minutes just to leave 10 minutes later. First we walk into the shop and were looking around. Were greeted by an older blonde lady with a pink shirt on, she asks if we need help finding anything and we tell her were just looking. We continue looking around and notice the lady very obviously staring at us, so I get the candle I want and keep going through the shop, we go over to the caramel apples (one of the main reasons we went) and the same lady comes over and asks if there's anything If I was all ready (to pay) and I reply "not quite ready yet". She watches me look at the selection of treats so I go over to my girlfriend and ask if she is getting anything, we paid for our food and go over to look at the animal's. Now, as were walking up to the gate to go into the petting zoo, there is another family in front of us walking in. We go in and before I know it the same lady is running along side of the fence yelling over to us to ask if we paid to get in. I didn't see a sign that said we had to pay, I didn't see the family in front of us pay and I thought it was weird that she didn't stop the family in front of us. As we walk out of the zoo she is just watching, at this point we felt targeted so we decided to leave. The lady did not have a smile on her face the entire time and did not make us feel welcome at all, Will not go back again and will not...

Love Dougherty! Everything from fresh apples, and pumpkins to homemade foods, desserts, drinks and tons of additional products. I don't drink but here the bar is good. I visit multiple times every fall. Went today even tho my 6 year old grandson bailed on me! Haha. Thanks for another GREAT year! The goat I'm petting is my buddy always. He sits and let's me rub him and he'll start to fall asleep. I call him Billy although idk his name. He's a bit sassy, and a bully at times, but oh he has the most beautiful light blue eyes. He's gorgeous. I couldn't get many pics today. There was a field trip and it got swamped all at once. The biggest brown sheep, he likes to play. I am a teacher and I have assigned students to review local businesses. This student (KD) was insistent that I share her review with you. I think she may want some free donuts from this deal.

The donuts at Dougherty Orchard are the best you'll ever have; they are so good. You also have to get the apple cider to wash them down; it's also the best you'll ever have. If that deliciousness wasn't enough to get you to go there, they have animals! You can buy food for specific animals and feed them. The peacocks are a little scary, but I like the giant pigs. Then when you're done touching/feeding them, there are sinks with soap at the end of the zoo. You should definitely go to the orchard!
