The Venue at Roseoak — Attraction in Petal

Planning my daughters wedding was something that we had dreamed about for a lifetime. Every little girl dreams about being a princess for a day and their wedding day should be a day when all the things they ever dreamed of can come to fruition. Mrs. Lisa Johnson and her amazing staff went to all lengths possible to ensure that our bride and groom were able to have the most amazing, most magical, most perfect wedding day possible. Words cannot express how breathtaking the wedding was decorated. Every detail was attended to with love and professionalism in every step. The reception was equally beautiful from the wedding cake made by ,Cakes by Gavin, to the amazing staff that served our guests with love and smiles at every turn. The photography was done by Rudy Melancon, and the cinematography was done by Input/Output productions, and having the opportunity to be able to work with such professionals was the most amazing experience that I’ve ever had. I know they captured every second of this event to perfection. The Venue at Roseoak family staff did everything with so much love and so many smiles, always ensuring that our guests had everything they needed at their fingertips.The DJ did an amazing job and made sure that our guest had so much fun. The music was on point and perfect from the bride and groom’s first dance, the daddy and daughter’s dance, and all the way through to the end of the night. As the mother of the bride I’m eternally grateful that we crossed paths with Mrs. Lisa during this season of our lives. She and her staff will forever be remembered in our hearts for their kind generosity and utmost professionalism in planning our wedding event. I will forever tell everyone I meet in the future that’s in this season, that The Venue at Roseoak is the absolute best place for any Bride and Groom to host their special day. If you want to be yelled at and treated rudely, then by all means book this place. I’m only giving them 2 stars because it was clean. The lady that runs this place has ZERO customer service skills... she yelled at the bridal party, the groomsmen, the photographer, the Photographer’s Assistsnt — EVERYONE!!! I work in customer service for a major company and I was appalled at how she was treating people that actually paid to use her facility. In the upper bedroom or dressing room that is used for photos and for the bride to get ready. She proceeded to boss everyone around and talk in a tone that you would use for a dog that you hated. When I asked her if we could use the balcony area for photos she snapped and said “no I don’t want anyone to see the bride” Well this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get these photos since this was an evening wedding and the sunset would have rendered a beautiful backdrop. How about instead just ask everyone downstairs to move under the patio. She made this a horrific experience. Also... the bride and groom had purchased their own liquor, beer and wine and her daughter had to tend the bar... well a couple of the guest were at the station a little ahead of her daughter trying to get juice and or soda... and the evil owner came over and made everyone get away... with that tone again. I would not recommend this place at all to anyone spend your money...

I cannot recommend Roseoak enough! From the moment we booked, Lisa and her team went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was nothing short of perfection. All I had to do was send a few inspiration pictures, and just like that—my dream wedding came to life!

Lisa is not only the venue owner but also serves as your wedding coordinator, and honestly, it felt like she was my personal wedding planner, too. She guided us through the entire process, ensuring that every single detail was thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed. Her motto is, "There is no such thing as a stressful wedding at Roseoak. We don’t have stressful weddings here. And let me tell you, that could not be more true!

Everything ran smoothly, both leading up to the big day and on the wedding day itself. Lisa and her team handled every detail, big and small, with so much care and precision. They truly do think of every little detail when planning for your day! There were details that I never would have thought about that ensured our wedding day went off without a hitch! The food and florals absolutely exceeded my expectations and if you’re looking for a great DJ to keep the party alive book DJ RedZone he was absolutely phenomenal!
