West of Wise Winery — Attraction in Petersburg

Sorry to say it has taken me so long to do this! June 2022 my now husband and I had the judge who was supposed to marry us at the Menard County Courthouse leave for an emergency. We went to wait at West of Wise. They were AMAZING. A friend who was ordained managed to make it out and they stayed open late for her to marry us out back. Since it was planned as a courthouse wedding on a budget I didn't have flowers and they called someone who rushed the most gorgeous bouquet over for the ceremony. They also gave us a bottle of wine as a gift and popped a bottle for us and our 3 friends. I make sure I stop several times a year to buy from them and our friends stop when they're in town. My friends just got married there and it was perfect. They had an appointment at the court house but the judge got called away on an emergency. We went there to regroup and immediately the lady there made calls to see if anyone was able to officiate the wedding. She even stayed open an extra hour for our friend to make it and officiate the ceremony and all went.
