Not family friendly at all!!! Came here on Friday for the 8pm public skate. The whole place is run by teenagers. Wanted to sharpen skates but they close the shop at 8pm, right when the skating begins… Asked for a penguin for my 2 year old daughter, the said No. I asked why? The teenagers replied it is their policy because there are too many people on Friday. I said, did you look at the rink, very few people. They said it’s because too many teenagers ice skate on Fridays. I said, can I talk to the manager? They said the manager is not here. I said, can I call the manager, they said NO. Like I stated before, the whole place is run by teenagers. Terrible costumer service. Credit cards don’t work there, only cash… I wonder why…. Music selection was terrible, I felt like a teenager just hooked up their iPhone and played their favorite rap with profanity. If you’re the manager and you’re reading this, shame on you. Shame on this organization for allowing to operate this place like that. Now my back hurts from having to hold my child all the time.

Hate to write negative reviews especially for childhood places. But what happened to Flyers Skate Zone? It used to be a go-to spot for a fun skating experience, but not anymore... First off, the $16 admission applies whether you bring your own skates or not. And to top it off, it's cash only? This isn't just inconvenient in our digital age, it's downright archaic. Moreover, the place seems to be run by teenagers who are more interested in their conversations than in managing the rink or ensuring guest safety. The lack of professional supervision was apparent. It's disheartening to see a once-beloved local rink decline like this. Flyers Skate Zone needs to seriously reconsider its pricing strategy, payment options, and staff training if it hopes to regain its reputation as a family-friendly and enjoyable place to skate. As it stands, I'm hesitant to return or recommend it to others.

Our twins are involved with the Learn to Skate Program there and are going into their third session soon. Although we had some issues with the initial class, management listened and were very accomodating. Our boys love the classes and look forward to their Friday night sessions. They are excited about continuing and really looking forward to the hockey program. Amber and her instructors are awesome!!!!

One star is too generous…Absolutely disgraceful experience — avoid this place at all costs. This is by far the worst ice rink I’ve visited in years. The facility is filthy, it reeks, and the staff is shockingly rude and unprofessional — especially those “supervising” on the ice.

Teenagers were out of control, harassing and bumping into other skaters, and instead of stopping the chaos, the staff actually encouraged it. They sided with the troublemakers, threw snowballs themselves, and completely ignored anyone who tried to raise concerns. When spoken to, they didn’t respond calmly — they practically shouted back at people who were simply asking for order and safety.

I brought my daughter here, and I deeply regret it. It was not only a waste of time and money, but also a disturbing and unsafe environment for families.

Do not come here. There are many other public ice rinks where staff actually does their job, keeps the place clean, and doesn’t participate in or tolerate dangerous behavior. This place is a total embarrassment and should be held accountable. I’m seriously considering filing a complaint with the city authorities and health department, and it honestly looks like the management has zero interest or concern for the mess...
