So much area history! The curator is amazing and a wealth of knowledge and stories of the artifacts. See a real sod house built as a high school band fundraiser, the legacy of an area female doctor, an enormous pencil collection, artifacts from the Spanish American War on forward, and more! Multiple buildings, many moved from around the county. Afterwards, visit the amazing playground in the adjacent city park - it's on lower ground, as it is literally the hole from whence clay for the town's brick...

Small fort and museum with 100% community donated artifacts, construction and time to assemble this collection of buildings as well as several rooms full of artifacts. The volunteers are kind and generous with plenty of details about the history of the area. Free entry and about 1/2 hour needed to enjoy all this stop has to offer - but worth your...

I love Ft. Bissell. Both tge curator and tour guide make this a 'must see' in Phillipsburg, KS. It is closing the first of September but will open...
