Terrible experience! We went as part of a group fieldtrip. I had 2 of my 4 children with me. One daughter who has special needs age 2.5, the older daughter age 4. I drove over an hour & it was honestly nothing but a disappointment & total waste of time. They had a wagon/hay ride that was extremely overcrowded & we stood in line for it for quite awhile (each ride was around 5-7 mins) but the driver refused to go around more than twice, even though there were people (including our family) that didn't have a turn on this ride. My daughter was so upset that she was literally in tears & they could care less. Like they couldn't take another 5-7 min ride so that everyone got a chance? We also didn't even get the bag of apples or pumpkin that we actually paid for (was supposed to come with the purchase). Also the store was very overcrowded & we noticed immediately that most items were ridiculously overpriced. We bought a pumpkin loaf that cost $8.00 & let me tell you, it was not the best we've ever had & @ that price you'd expect a pretty great loaf....not the case. I've had pumpkin bread that tastes much better for half the cost from other places. They also let a cat roam around inside the store (hello, ever hear of pet allergies?) which seems a tad unsanitary. I love animals & all, but I don't feel it's good for business to have them inside an establishment that makes & serves food + has young children frequent it. Who's to say that even the friendliest of cats can't playfully scratch a customer? The only things that were positive about this visit is that they do have baby changing stations in the restrooms & a small petting zoo with some farm animals. The staff was mediocre. The orchard was nothing special. I would highly recommend taking your family elsewhere. I am 38 years old & have been to many farms/apple orchards in my lifetime in different parts of MA & this was by far the least impressive. Save your money & your time & go someplace better! With more reasonable prices, more to see + do, & friendlier staff who actually care about their customer's happiness. We had a negative vibe about this place immediately when we got there & it was raining. Even on the sunniest of days, this place couldn't have been more of a bore. I would give 0 stars if I could.😴👎 If you are looking for a similar place but much better, try Cook's Farm in Hadley or Westview Farms in Monson, just to name a few...unless of course, you enjoy wasting time & money!🤷 I'm very surprised that this place has positive reviews. Hopefully they have...

Best apple orchard I have been to for families with kids 10 & under. They are branching out (no pun intended) with hard cider and a brewery with BBQ. They have veggie options(veggie burger 🍔) also and sweet potato 🍟 fries for alternatives.theybhave goats and &, donkeys and pigs & feed for animal lovers of all ages. The store inside is awesome 👏😎 for kids and family and adults who want quality goods. The pies looked professional & plenty of variety. Tons of knick knacks, coffee ☕ cider, and slushy cider (&peach slush) on demand. 🍑 Peach was delicious 😋🤤!!! They have cool hoodies with print on front and back and one side printed 👕 shirts for kids and adults, beers, milk, and other assorted food goods also available. It is just a sight to see and take in definitely worth multiple trips. They offer 3 different sand pits for kids to play/dig in at different amenities and stations of the site. The bag prices were fair/competitive and the apple quality availability was just what you were looking for. The super friendly staff welcomed us at every opportunity and were ready to be helpful. Some areas of growth: get some swing sets for bigger kids & make the honey crisp apples available to pick more. They had the honey crisp available for purchase in the store but not labeled for picking. Otherwise I'm very content and want...

One of the best places in the area to visit for food, fun, beer and live music. It is a family friendly place with events that truly enhance the greatness of the North Quabbin region. The apple trees are magnificent. I can't stop looking at them... each one is a work of art. The Brew Barn, which serves pub-style food and Moonhill beer and hard cider adds to the offerings. Then there is the Timberfire Pizza... cannot say enough about this absolutely delicious option (homemade crust and sauce). I've eaten fancy New York Pizza, but I have to say, Timberfire Pizza is waaay better! Pair it with Moonhill's Oats Magoats beer or Red Apple Farm hard cider, and live local music... just plain old New England awesomeness! Red Apple Farm is also family friendly with a small enclosure that houses entertaining goats, pigs and donkeys. Oh, and the fun chickens that roam around the farm put a smile on little kids' faces every time they pop over in search of a clumsy kid's snack. I've picked peaches and apples there with the grandchildren, which is a treat (though they would rather play on the old farm equipment than labor at picking fruit), it's still loads of fun. I highly recommend visiting this New...

I went to Red Apple Farm to get apples to make my holiday pies. I always like to put at least three varieties of apples in my pies and I almost always can find several varieties suitable for pies there. When I first arrived I was a little disappointed to find only four kinds of apples; one I didn't know and one was more suitable for eating out of hand. However, moments later four more crates of apples appeared, all different varieties, and perfect for my pies. The person who delivered them was able to enlighten me about the Apple I did not recognize. He told me that Baldwin apples were a favorite of George Washington! They are an heirloom variety. He also introduced me to a variety that is new. I never heard of an Evercrisp apple; it is a hybrid of Honeycrisp. I tried one when I got home and it's quite tasty, well-named for it's crispness, and juicy too. The other varieties available in late November were Macintosh, Fuji, Black Arkansas, Cortland, and Macoun. It is always difficult to resist the delicious fudge there. I love that if you buy four pieces they give you an additional two pieces at no extra cost.

This place is fantastic, better than last summer if anything, which I wouldn't have thought possible. The menu is great, all of the staff are still incredibly helpful, there is still quality live music in a wide range of genres, the farm animals are still great with kids and well behaved, the homemade ice cream is terrific, their homemade apple cider (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) is excellent, and they still make apple cider slushies!! (ALSO both alcoholic and non-alcoholic!!)... They still have soft drinks, a wide selection of locally brewed beers, as well as wine, there's BBQ and wood-fired pizza, corn hole, and multiple, enormous, sand box-type play areas for the kids. It is still awesome and an incredible way to spend a day with the kids

Much more than an orchard. Went to a wedding in the blueberry patch and reception in barn. Not a parking lot but parking in the fields so be prepared for uneven terrain. Skip the high heels. Would be nice to have some signage about parking and directions. The barn was nice, plenty of room for 16 tables and not so much for dancing. Nice patio area on one side for smokers and tent on other side for non-smokers. Staff was good and pleasant. We had fun. There are other events and cookouts going on at other times too. Posted a picture of their advertisement. Family Fridays from 3-8 in the Brew Barn. Cookout, bar, hayrides and fun for the family.
