My son and daughter in law were recently married here. I will give it one star as it is required and in farness the setting is pretty. However, you can rent many places with this setting, an old barn etc.. and receive a much better service and have a more pleasant day!! When I rent a venue for a wedding or any other event, I expect to have use of the venue without interruption in the time allowed unless you hire their staff etc.Upon arriving to set up I noticed the floors still had left over decorations around and were obviously not mopped. When we began getting the tables out we found many not washed off and stuck on food! Within 15 min of starting set up the very intrusive park ranger showed up. Showed me the obvious storage closet with cleaning supplies, then proceeded to come out into the main room where two of us were setting up tables and decorations. She asked where they were actually getting married and I said either out under the tree or inside by the deck doors if it rained. She instantly told me no furniture goes outside, no chairs etc.. I told her we knew that as it is in their very lengthy and detailed sheet of rules and regulations and it is also on the website. We were VERY obviously setting up inside! She then said we should open the top barn doors as it provides more light. I told her no thank you we did not want more light as we intended to wrap the poles in white lights and dim the overhead lights for a better atmosphere. She proceeded to go outside and open the top doors!! She comes back in following me around asking a ton of questions.. I finally told her I really needed to get busy as we were running out of time and a lot to do! She informed me she intended to be back throughout the day and in and out. I told her I expected her to not be in and out of the wedding and guests as that is awkward at best. I also asked about the hikers that were coming into the building with dogs and looking around as they please! She apparently did wander around outside a few time that I missed. Then at 6:30 when we started to clean up stuff needing hauled by guests leaving (the place was rented until 11) she showed up inside asking about clean up. I told her I had the list and thank you. She went through the building and guests inspecting! Until I asked her to leave as she was being rude. We were accused of taking some bag of rags? As if anyone takes rags. We brought our own that were in the wedding colors. Then after my daughter in law as charged for the rags and let the rental lady know about her rangers behavior the ranger claimed people were in the loft! First she is obviously covering her own bad behavior but the loft is LOCKED! LOL NO one can or did go up there! I have many witnesses and pics to prove it! This venue is intrusive and like dealing with a crooked landlord. There are many old barn venues and pretty places that will work to make your day special , vs others trying to run interference to keep them from ruining the day! You are renting this place, not getting married on a random beach! If you insist on using it, take before and after pics. and dont plan on many cars, and be ready for strangers hanging out including the great over bearing park ranger. If you dont allow it then they will charge you and treat you crappy. I deal with many many places in my job and I can assure you this is horrid customer service. Thankfully my kids had a beutiful day its too bad this place had to make a black mark on any of it. I will never recommend this venue to anyone. Sad as it is pretty! But not worth the cost to put up with the treatment. Hopefully someone else reads this and handles their...

The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars instead of one is because it is an absolutely beautiful place. However the service I recieved was ridiculous. I booked this venue for my wedding day I agreed to leave it clean as we found it there are tables and chairs that can ne used inside only (thats fine) nothing else was included for the price we paid perfectllt fine. However during set up there was a lady that was incrediblg rude to my mother in law. Walking around in and out of the building repeating multiple times tables and chairs cant go outside (mind you the were already set up with decorations on them INSIDE the building at this point) being extremely snooty, offered to help start cleaning up (seems like a nice gesture however it was 10-11am and they were just SETTING UP!) Re irritated multiple times she would be walking in and out of the facility ALL day during the wedding and reception. Now afterwards I get home from my honeymoon and recieved an emailing asking if we took a bag of white cleaninh rags by mistake. I advised that I opened the building and my mother in law was in charge of cleaning and we never even saw a bag of rags in the building. My MIL brought a bag of her own rags , colored, to clean with. I advised of the few items out of the cleaning closet that were used and quite frankly we left the building cleaner then it was when we got there. Dodnt hear another word. I recieved my deposit back today amd was CHARGED for the bag of cleaning rags!?!?!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!! I would not recommend renting this venue due to the service we recieved it was by far DISRESPECTFUL to...

Beautiful area to hike! We took the creek hike that met up with the meadow hike, then also did the bird loop. The creek and meadow hikes have very tall grass and some incline, I’d say it’s an easy-intermediate hike depending on your fitness level. The creek hike was beautiful and green! The meadow hike was lovely and coniferous. The meadow hike was fairly steep on the way down. The bird loop was another meadow/prairie kind of hike and pretty short. All in all we hiked a little over 4 miles in 3 or 3.5 hours. Very clean bathrooms! It was a lovely place to hike on a Sunday. There are beautiful flowers, plants, trees, etc.

Note: I had no service for a while on the way driving back out with Verizon, so keep that in mind if you rely on your phone to go back home (memorize the...
