Very disappointed in management today. We called ahead yesterday and reserved 3 tables. We were told to be here before 7:00. We arrived and payed at the office, then went to our tables to find someone had set up on one of our tables. To avoid confrontation we went back to the office to get someone to handle the situation. (Before 7:00am still.) The manager came and told the man to leave, and she walked on. He didn't do it. So we went back to the office. At that point they told us it was his now. They Refused to give us our money back though. So we asked someone else and they came and asked the man for his receipt, which he did not have because he had not payed. At that point because he refused to leave they made him pay and handed us the money. We were wrongly mistreated and will not return to sell again.
The gentleman to the other side of us, however they made him pay for 2 tables even though he told him.he only needed one. He did though... then 2 hours later they came and told him he could not sell Italian Ice because someone else was already. This man had paid for 2 tables and they made him leave and refused a refund.
Beware before you come and sell. They have 2 separate policies that benefit them only and they refuse refunds for their mistakes. If we ever desire to sell again we will go to the flea market at the mill in pickens or the orginal side that is Pickens Flea Market not Bargain Exchange.
Do better! Treat people fair! Sit down and come up with ONE policy and stick by it. Either First come first serve OR...
Read moreThis is a great mid week flea market option. The fact that it runs on Wednesday mornings is probably the biggest appeal to me. My only quarrel is that there are a ton of vendors picking over things before the sun comes up. If you get there after 10, expect the options to be somewhat limited. This is of course if you prefer to avoid the actual vendor tables.
The quality of the merchandise is typically good, much less sun bleached crap compared to Anderson. The goods are usually a bit overpriced though, which leads back to the number of pickers that come out early.
The food is meh, and pretty expensive. Go to the local hardee's, it is excellent and cheap.
If you sell here, you'll be doing good to break even on a slow day. On a good day, expect around 100 to 200$ if you have decent merchandise. You won't make Anderson money, but it's better than a yard sale in this area.
I will mention the owners are two completely different people. Even though the market looks like one big one, it is split in half. So renting a table can be a bit confusing for first timers.
Overall, I'd give it a 4/5. It's a decent flea market, with PLENTY of stuff, but make sure you go on a good day, slow days are basically dead. (i've sold when there were 5 tables...
Read moreI really love the "twin markets." Every Wednesday before the sun comes up people from all corners of this planet display their goods for sale at a far more than reasonable price. Silver? They got it. Antique Monet jewelry, you bet! Heavy blacksmith anvil? Probably. Crochet, knitted, quilted, woven goods ? Yes. Collectable baseball cards or comics? Yes. Livestock equipment, farm equipment, incubators? Likely! Creative artwork or break set inventions yes! Repurposed engineered masterpieces? Victorian led glass vases? absolutely. Clothing shoes boots etc? Yes. Antiques, it's a given. I'd bet the farm you will find a couple things that you could really use; or at least they will leave you in amazement that you never thought of that before. Ingenuity, creativity, brilliance, bargains, time savers, gifts, hobbies, anecdotes, tools, knick knacks, novelties, snacks, crafts, mastery, etc etc. Fully demonstrated at this fun weekly event. $7.00 for a table and you can be a part of this variety and add to the culture. All things can be found at this incredible flea circus. If you can't have fun at this flea market it's you, it's definitely not this...
