Sound system was terrible, constantly blurred out when a song with any kind of bass came on. Wasn't loud at all. Definitely not what I expected.
*Seems as if they have responded in a way that would suggest I have an issue with how they handled my sister's arrangements, so allow me to elaborate further.
Upon arrival, the "sound system" provided is a 3 ft aux cable that barely gives you access to the door where the sink is located. Not only that, the XLR connection for the microphone is located about 8 ft away from it, outside of the doorway into the other room. Which is confusing to me why it would be there in the first place. Any song with a higher bass output, like any hip hop titles, causes a slight drop in output, and since I had to use my own auxiliary to route the connection to where the XLR cable was located, you are concluding that my cables would do that in every setting I have ever provided music for, which in this case was the first time it actually happened.
I am a business owner, and just as I expect transparency with how I am doing, I will provide the same for venues I work at, and also airbnbs that I stay at when traveling, (which they received a review as well, fantastic experience by the way)
Assuming that me, being my own person, would provide feedback to a venue that is already lacking information on the audio setup provided because of a situation that doesn't even involve me... shows me that you not only can't take a review that isn't positive, but will also chalk it up as backlash for actions you've taken not pertaining to the original content of the review.
Plain and simple, I heard it, my fiance heard it, the wedding party heard it. If a songs bass pushed over even the slightest, there was distortion. I could have provided the proper equipment for the experience, but I will "assume" my email requesting a little more information on the audio setup hit the spam folder and you missed it previous to the wedding.
All fine, thank you again...and next time recognize each person as...
Read moreThe venue was gorgeous. Everything about the area was beautiful. As far as looks and the venue itself, it was a dream wedding. However, I do have a few things that went wrong. They need wifi as there is absolutely no signal to do anything. My DJ had a tough time with music but was able to download everything he needed. The speakers are also extremely muffled, and trying to hear anyone using a microphone proved extremely difficult. Lastly, and I do take partial blame on behalf of those who decorated, I was charged $438.00 for “damage” to centerpieces. The fake flowers on the centerpieces could be popped off and used as individual flower heads (I had no idea my decorators were taking the flowers off, but they did it knowing that the flower heads could be put back on.) They could easily be put back on, but due to differing sizes of the flowers they only fit certain stems. So, my decorators and I (now that I know what was done) should have put the flower heads back on. However, being charged 438 dollars because is a bit ridiculous. I understand their side of it, but they are claiming the arrangements are “unusable”, which I just do not think are the case. The issue is that certain flower heads fit different stems, so it would just take a little long to find which flower fit which stem. I brought my own artificial flowers, and I took a few flowers off of mine and put them back on easily, as most artificial flower arrangements do. The issue is now, they will have brand new centerpieces that I paid for on top of the other ones that they can just pop the flowers back onto and use. I’m giving 2 stars for the looks and aesthetic.
**Edit: Would also like to add that grass was being cut the morning of my wedding. My ceremony started at 3pm, and they were finally starting to blow the grass off about 2:30. Decorating was held up due to not having access to the patio. My wedding dress is stained due to the freshly cut wet grass. Not looking forward to that dry cleaning bill, or clumps of wet grass in my...
Read moreMy husband and I absolutely adored Heather. She was very responsive and responded in a timely manner to all the questions we had. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. It is secluded from the tourist-y parts of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and has such a beautiful landscape. The bridal suite and bathrooms were super clean and beautiful as well.
The only issues that my husband and I faced were the setup and teardown. We had our wedding on a Saturday and there was a wedding the day before and the day after ours. Heather was very transparent about our timeline for getting into the venue day of for set up. My husband and I didn't have a wedding coordinator and were doing setup/teardown ourselves with the help of family. We fell really behind on setup as we only had three and a half hours to get everything in place before the ceremony started, which left us scrambling for help from outside people and put the groomsman behind for getting ready/getting ready pictures. If you have a wedding coordinator though, this will not be a problem!
Additionally, we had some issues with cleanup at the end of the night. The cleaners were kicking my bridal party and parents out of the venue despite their best attempts to put everything in totes and boxes to vacate the venue. Everything was being put outside the venue and my friends and family had to shove stuff in boxes/totes as fast as possible, breaking some decor in the process. We ended our wedding at 10:30 to try to be off the premises by 11, so I definitely recommend ending it a bit earlier and having even more hands on deck to...
