The view from the top of the tower was really good. But it is quite dangerous inside the tower because it has no railings at the top. If you are taking a photo or video without seeing what’s behind you, you may fall down so be very careful. Also, the right to the top of this place is really adventurous. It has a lot of steep curves. Please pray to God that your tire should not go flat and that should not be any issues with your car when you go up and down. This is because you cannot get anyone to repair at this spot. Though I went on a public holiday, there were no one except for one family. It was a...

The road getting up there, will really make your transmission smell bad. Or maybe it was just my car. The Fire Tower itself, seems to be safe to climb, but I would be extra careful with kids. It's covered in graffiti, which is typical these days, but the views were pretty good. You do have other towers obstructing your view for pictures, but considering it doesn't cost anything to go there, except your time and possibly your transmission, you can decide if you want to risk it. The road is very narrow also, so go slow around the corners, so you don't run into anyone coming the...

Steep roads, not for a nervous driver. Beautiful way up, encountered some construction as they are building more huge cabins up top which is a little sad to see everything be cut up and views blocked. I would not want to be taking that route a lot, but that's just me. No parking you kind of are just there and stop at side of the road. But it's so out of the way I'm sure you would not encounter a crowd. Nice view, sturdy structure, a little scary to go up if you are scared of heights. Overall I'm glad I made my husband and kids go up. But idk what I would have done with a...

This is an off the beaten path that tourists don’t go to. The drive up is amazing and the views are spectacular. If you are squeamish about heights, this is not for you. You should NOT bring your kids up here. The stairs are open and it would be easy for a kid to slip through. I’m not sure if it is legal to climb this but there are no signs, so proceed with caution. It is surrounded by cell towers, but the views are some of the best in the Smokies. You see Knoxville to Clingmans Dome. Fall time is beautiful.

The ride to get to this tower was reminiscent to a Disneyworld roller coaster with the amount of 180° turns with steep inclines and declines, however the view at the top of the tower was something I will never forget. Truly the best the Smoky Mountains has to offer without needing to go on a multiple hour hike. Would not recommend bringing small children here though as the stairs are very steep with very little protection on the walls of the platforms aside from the top observation deck.
