Our family had a wonderful weekend here on our whitewater rafting trip. The cabin had plenty of room for nine of us. It had a fridge, full kitchen, and a grill so we were able to cook and have family meals without breaking the bank. The lodge is not far from town either so it's convenient to hit the tourist spots.

Here at Almost Heaven closest to hell without any propane for the last 4 day, calls i have made twice a day and with the late and the later delivery adding time to the matter sucks, other than that make sure gas is full when arriving or call before to make sure

Cabin was nice, comfortable. Wifi was absolute garbage, barely 5mg of speed, tops! No cell coverage either, so communication was very limited.

My ceremony was a mess because the planner, Julie, failed to insure the coordinator was prepped for the day of my wedding. Actually, she wasn't even in the state or readily available should any mishaps occur such as they did.. The coordinator, Caren, in fact did not coordinate a thing. She literally came to me saying she had no idea what was going on. She never introduced herself to anyone as the coordinator. She even had the nerve to blame ME for the planning business's mistake of not having the correct amount of bouttonieres. Which I have in writing. My guests were drying off wet chairs before my arrival, there was a bag in the trees, old wilted flowers along the isle from previous weddings, black and brown debris along the front of the gazebo on the concrete. The coordinator even had the nerve to lie about all of this to the planner, which my guests have photos of for proof. That lie then led to the planner accusing me of abusing her staff. I was never at any point abusive to any of her staff and again all of my guests are witness to this because as the bride, I was never left alone. Also let's mention my (not bridal bouquet) flowers were wrong, some were already wilting and stems broken. The bridesmaids flowers looked like weeds. Again, I have the emails of what I requested and the photos of the garbage I received. The planner, Julie, then told me that AFTER PAYING OVER $7K that I was lucky to even have a wedding. Funny enough, we spoke to the vendors and made friends with them (food, photography, and dj) and we were in fact told the opposite. That many weddings have been cancelled by the bridal parties and they appreciated us giving them work as they need to make a living. The photographer and DJ saved the day by taking charge of the reception, and we thoroughly thanked them. So not only have I been slandered and spoken down to by this business, but I have every bit in writing. Oh and not to mention, the company that does all their lodges locks, maybe the woman forgot, but my FATHER does it for them. I would NOT recommend this business to ANYONE. Spend your money elsewhere and actually receive what you pay for. Oh, and find a business that actually respects and appreciates...

Beautiful and romantic place. Only problem I had was with the reception. They had changed what we had agreed on for the food with no warning. Now I do appreciate the effort they tried surprising us with a hot buffet instead, which I normally would say is a big upgrade, only problem is a few of us have/had medical dietary restrictions and couldnt eat it. And they had messed up on the cake. It wasn't what we had asked for, it was close but not quite what we were hoping for when we had described it to them. But overall my wedding was beautiful, romantic, and helped us make...

I attended a wedding this past December and it was a fabulous experience. The staff was amazing and very professional. We were allowed to take our own photos and everyone said that many other venues do not allow it. The log lodge was beautiful. The covered bridge was very unique. Our entire wedding party of 75 found it very convenient that we were all able to rent log cabins and stay in the resort so we didn't have to drive after drinking. I would definitely recommend this venue...
