If you find your way to Northeast Arkansas, visit the Battlefield Park in Chalk Bluff, AR. Here, the St. Francis River creates the natural border of Missouri and Arkansas, and also a significant site of the Civil War. #Arkansas #civilwar #historicalsite #familyoutingday #girldad #outdoors #winter #hikingadventures #hikewithkids

Great little day use area and park with walking trails. The walking paths are paved and well shaded under the trees. A wheelchair would be able to make it all the way to the lookout gazebo, but it would be a work out for the person pushing back to parking lot. In fact, a portion of the trail nearest the river had washed away and was blocked with caution tape, so be aware. The bathrooms were pretty dirty from lack of use and many bugs have made it their home. The playground equipment looks relatively weathered, however still usable. All in all about 1.5 miles or so (a complete guess) of paved walking path, and a nice area. Long t

They have a small playground for kids with a slide and tire swing they also have a wheelchair accessible trail however it cuts off a good way into the wheelchair trail becoming inaccessible to the other areas due...
