The Springs Weddings & Events — Attraction in Pilot Point

This venue was everything we had hoped for and more. We had a 130 guest wedding on 10/8/22 and we are so grateful we found The Springs in Valley View Mansion for this special night. All night long people RAVED about how absolutely breathtaking this venue was/is - I kept getting “How did you even find this place?!?” “This is the most beautiful property I have ever seen!”, and many more compliments just like that. Everything was perfect - from signing the contract with the incredibly kind and helpful Rebecca, to walking the venue over again during their fun open house that we were invited to, to the actual wedding day, we are forever grateful for this venue and their incredible team.

Last thing- the fact that they have two air bnbs in the back of their stunning property was the most helpful thing and it’s such a brilliant idea. Both of our families occupied the air bnbs, and my (now) husband and I stayed with our families there the night before our big day. It was so nice (and stress free) to be able to wake up on their property, with our families, and walk over to the ceremony spot for rehearsals in the morning.

Pros: The venue is absolutely stunning!

Cons: Everything else. Couples beware! You are just $$ signs to the corporate business of The Springs. Once they have your money you’re nothing else to them. If they have an event scheduled you can’t visit the venue that day since you’re already a paying client. But yet incoming couples can come tour the venue the day of your wedding..no problem! Any rentable items have a service fee that you aren’t told about, nor is it on any paperwork that they provide you. I get this is the “service industry” but they should be transparent with their charges. Management changed roughly 2 weeks before our wedding and never once were we notified! What?! It would have been nice for them to let us know and/or introduce themselves but instead we only knew because of the new name on the email. To top it off one of the rentable items I had booked they didn’t even end up having everything for it, leading to an $8 refund a week after my wedding, not even the full amount. The Springs was the PERFECT backdrop and setting for my wedding! From our initial tour, to payments, to asking questions, and finalizing last minute details/rentals, their communication was always prompt, easy, and extremely helpful. Rebecca & Karoline are both so nice and the facility is gorgeous!

One thing that could be improved was the wet/muddy grass on wedding day. I know they need to keep the grass looking green, but my suggestion would be to not water on wedding days. Me & my wedding party had to dodge water puddles and mud in the grass (not easy in a white ball gown 😅) just to get photos in the greenery. Also, we had several groups of guests go to The Springs location in Aubrey…and some missed the ceremony because of it. We did all we could do to tell people, but it would be helpful if the location names on Google were a little more specific, such as “The Springs - Valley View”, instead of listing “The Springs Event Venue” for all locations.
