I absolutely LOVED this place! I've lived in Arkansas the better part of 5 years now, and I can't believe I've never been. It's EXTREMELY quiet, very serene, and CLEAN!! Omg, it is SO CLEAN! The animals are just as content as can be, though the birds (these guys/gals are outside) looked a bit hot, but this is not to say they weren't healthy and cared for well because they were. There is a water fountain for guests right when you walk into the left that is colder than a glacier; you try it 😀. There are gar, snakes, a big a$$ snapping turtle, several taxidermy pieces (look above you!), and I have some photos shared, too. You can take the whole family, buddy. This is a beautiful little spot, and if you've never been, AND you live close... Get up, grab the kids, pack a lunch,...

Such a wonderful place to learn about our great state and all its natural wonders. It's especially educational for children and they offer cool hands on activities for them. The day we visited it was torrential raining so we couldn't walk the trail very long. But what we could walk was beautiful. By the way if it's been raining be careful walking the boardwalk as it gets slick. Out of all the nature centers we've visited around the state this one is by far the best one we've been to. My children loved it. I do feel sorry for the birds of prey they have though. They are tied down by their feet with not much room to move. Makes me sad since they are birds and can't move much. 😢 Other than that this place is amazing and very...

Hands down, this is the best nature center we've ever been to. We were sad that the Eagles were gone, but the other birds were really nice to look at. The trails are flat and easy to navigate and were nice--it was 107° and we still easily walked every trail and weren't drenched with sweat at the end. Every employee was so friendly and welcoming. I do wish the tanks were cleaner, since it was hard to see some of the fish but this was the first nature center I'd seen with bass pro-like tanks full of native fishes. Some of the gar are huge! The snakes inside all looked healthy with great setups. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend...
