Great hike if entering in from old forge road. The hill can be strenuous for some people, but it's totally worth it. This place is a whole lot of nature. I've seen deer, muskrat, snakes, eagles and even bear here. I've spent many days hiking around an exploring the place. It's abundant in coal and during dryer seasons when the waters dropped you can find plenty of slag glass on the Gold Mine Road side of the reservoir.
