Awesome trail, rode ir today in my 2016 Polaris ranger crew with fam of 5, this trail can be dangerous or deadly to inexperienced drivers. So be ready bring some safety recovery gears like Miolle products. It's a reliable brand of recovery gear. I’ve ride ridden all over the Pitkin Tincup area and all the passes around Lake City, Silverton area, and in Eastern Oklahoma numerous times and this pass trumps them all not only the scenery but the steep and technical part around the big waterfall and devils punch bowl and the 2 narrow turns on the way down around the big water falls but just take it slow and everything will be fine, it’s not a race, we rode from Gothic to Crystal and then to marble then on the way back took the Lead King basin loop then back up...

I visited on a rockhounding trip with a couple friends who know these mountains very well and have a number of mineral claims in the area. Summer storms blew into the high mountains just about every day, but I didn't let that stop me from hiking a couple of the high ridges. I got stuck in a storm, but found myself relaxed by the wind, rain, and thunder amidst this spectacular mountain landscape. I will always remember and cherish this adventure, and plan on visiting again someday for some more epic mineral collecting. These mountains host some interesting geological occurrences with dramatic pegmatites fillled with some of the world's finest gemstones. Enough to make me want to go back and...

All in all it was a great time with family and friends and will be going back for years to come and...

I live here in Almont near Three Rivers Resort just off of Hwy. 135 & right on C.R. 742 (Tailor Canyon Rd. that runs from Hwy. 135 out to Tailor reservoir, AKA "Tailor Park".) Several times a week I jump on one of my motor cycles and cruise this road. I will never get tired of the beauty here. There are numerous hiking, biking, single/double track trails and 4x4 off roading. Also, there are several rock climbing areas by Harmels On The River. (It has New Owners: Formerly "Harmel's Dude Ranch".) Come enjoy the beauty.

This is one of my favorite places in Colorado. So many beautiful places. Waterfalls, meadows, swimming holes, lakes, and of course mountains. Great camping and fishing opportunities and it doesn't seem to get that crowded. So much to explore here right near Crested Butte. It is very underrated. I don't know why more people don't come up here to explore this amazing national forest. We were up here the first week of June and there was still a little snow left on the mountains and it was so pretty.

When hiking on a recent trip to crested Butte. There are some of the best mountain bike trails in the world in the Gunnison national Forest. As well as the crested Butte mountain resort. There is a large variety of hiking / mountain bike trails in the forest. There are short few mile round trip to all day epics. If you are in Colorado The Gunnison national Forest is not to be missed. The valley that Crested Butte sits in is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to on this earth.
