I came here almost daily for my walk. I Love the scents that is coming from the pine trees, some wild plants and flowers. There are colored markers on the trees to guide you where to go on the trail so you won’t get lost. I’ve used my gps too to show me where I am. I love how the natural woods and all the trails changes from throughout the seasons. When I see trash along the way, I picked them up and put them in trash barrels. I wish more people would do that. I’ve seen people jog in the woods, but please be careful of the smaller rocks that roll under your feet. I’ve almost slipped on many. Maybe it’s my flat shoe. Some older people walk with walking sticks. My favorite trails is the ‘scenic’ route and the ‘education’ route. Those are very easy and more flat to walk on, other than watching out for those sticking out roots! There are other harder trails to choose from for advance hikers. Medium hard hiking trails have small creeks...

Once again German shepherd off leash then I see other reviews on web sight some guy says it's a great place to let ur dog run,I experienced my small rat terrier get attacked by large dog off leash, they need to put another sign right b4 u go down the big hill all dogs must b leashed ,I talked to a board member about that ,he said we want 2 keep it natural in the woods as possible, they have signs at front of entrance which is part of the park why not a friendly reminder at top of big hill at intersection where the Spangler trail n education trail begin, very frustrating, I tell people ther is a off duty police officer down in the woods as a effort 2 get them 2 leash their dog, I have been told to f,,;:; off, flipping me the middle finger among other things ,come on park board let's do more than...

This place is a hidden gem. It is definitely in our top 3 best trails so far. Starting in the main parking area we stayed in an outer loop course started heading north on blue to yellow Education and head west. Then white old field trail, orange Sassafras, then back to outer red, pink Strock trail, complete purple loop, do not skip the Saddleback trail. Back to red all the way around to green. We skipped the yellow Roller Trail and saveing it for next time. Make sure to go UP the Green trail. Finishing with blue again making it a 5 mile hike.

06-15-2025 Still loving these trails. Thank you to the grounds crew. 6 miles of trails today. Well marked and easy to read map. Adding loop after loop is awesome to get over six miles. The deer was moving today. Got to see a little...

What an amazing Park!! My first time here, and I cant wait to come back. Be prepared to cross some creeks while your here, depending on the trail you choose that is, a walking stick might come in handy on the more difficult trails, especially if there's ice and snow. The trails are marked Excellently! Although we did get a little lost, but that was our fault, lol can't wait to come back, I even got online when I came home and became a member, it was only $10 , it feels good to contribute to such a beautiful park. I can't wait to come back in the spring, or maybe sooner! Happy Trails my friends and God Bless you all 😀 Beware of the snow covered rocks when crossing the creek, I fell in, lol
