Old Shepard Park — Attraction in Plano

Love the park and distances from roads. The pavilion is a quaint gazebo shape. Bathrooms are usually clean-ish but the water fountains mid park rarely work. The playground is nicely shaded and the park is directly adjacent to a school with some good play equipment (not fenced off though) but if you're around right after school be prepared to share or be asked to leave. Lots of space for soccer or football and a few backstops with quality bleachers (no score boards or back fences).

Has some walking trails close by and further out in the park plus a sidewalk that goes to the nearby pond and stream that flank the elementary school. Parking is also shared with the school and neighborhood and is small. It can get quite packed and difficult to navigate with kids running nearby.
