We came through on our motorcycle looking for a place to camp for the night. The kiosk is not user friendly and we only got a pass to get into the park, which was $30. We were then told that we had to call the 800 number to make a reservation to camp. It was an additional $30 to camp, $16 for the reservation fee plus taxes! We stayed probably 15 hours and paid a total of $78 just to tent camp! The fees are ridiculous and unreasonable! We were told by the camp hostess that they haven't had many tent campers this year. No wonder! Lower your prices and maybe you will! We couldn't even use our phones because there was no cell service there. What if someone got hurt? You can't call 911!    Read moreBest place to launch a boat for sure. Lots of options and launch spots. I have stayed in the state park but it looks nice. Lots of parking, but you’ll need to walk sometimes. The bay is always calm enough to pull a tube. The cows make it weird. I am not a good river fisherman, but I do see a lot of fish come out of the water at the docks. Nice swimming area and play place. Plenty of places to just drive past the boat launch area and enjoy a beautiful sunset. The weather tends to break up right at the river, we camp just to the east of it and never get anything too bad. Most people are patient with newer boaters so it is a lower stress...
